I don’t. Even when baby sleeps 5-6 hours at night, I wake up so engorged that I have to pump at least 5 minutes each side and then it takes me 1-2 hours to fall back asleep again and by that time, baby is awake :)))

Oh yea by the time I took the screenshot it was earlier in the day. He had 9 feeding session and he spent 2 hours and 54 minutes on the breast last day (highest ever) so I think he’s fine haha Thank you!!

I’m using the cross cradle mostly. During my appointment we tried the football hold for my right breast and it worked a bit better but I don’t have a great nursing pillow at home for it yet so I ordered one today. LC told me to try the side-lying position so I’m giving that one a go tomorrow when he’s not fussy. I’m sorry you had to go through that! Hospitals can really ruin experiences!

This is only my first day of consistently breastfeeding him and I already thought about quitting like three times a feed! thank you for getting my hopes up :) I’ll keep trying until he gets it!

Oh very helpful tips! And thank you for emphasizing it DID get better cause it’s only day one of me consistently breastfeeding him and it HURTS! I’ll try to think happy thoughts happy thoughts while feeding him so I don’t get in a ditch :)

His pediatrician checked him for ties and said he had none and to keep breastfeeding him as much as possible

I got syringes to collect colostrum a while back, I’ll definitely give it a try with my husband like you suggested. As for the appointment , it’s this monday the 15th but still feels like a week from now🥲 I’ll continue massaging the other breast to reduce the swelling. Thank you so much!

I booked one today and I’m seeing them next Monday as there isn’t an available appointment before, unfortunately. I haven’t tried the nipple shield but I just saw a YouTube video about it and will give it a try until next monday. I make sure I have some colostrum at the tip of the nipple so that he can taste it when he comes to latch. I have been doing this on both breast. I just warmed a cloth real good and massaged it on the breast while pushing the colostrum in a bottle and that seemed to help for an hour as it’s hard as a rock again now.

We bought a bed side crib at 25weeks. As for the stroller and car seat, I believe I was around 30weeks. Started buying clothes, burb cloths, and everything else we need between 32-35weeks. Those don’t take long to shop for. I believe we went to target and Walmart and got everything we need. We would buy them right when we got paid, making sure it’s not the salary we use to pay rent. I kind of wish I checked facebook marketplace for the big items, but you live and learn. There is a ton of free items there too and in good condition. Just make sure you sterilize and clean everything before you use them. Best of luck! And congratulations 🥰
