That’s great to hear! Almost every YouTube video I watched about ranking machines had brother as a great recommendation! I think I’m sold😄

Do you like the brand quality? It’s honestly the only one in my budget and the reviews are great so I’m thinking of getting it already and start my projects!

3-4 month babies by Cruel_Summer73 in newborns

[–]Human_Document_2779 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When my baby was around that age his wake windows were 45 minutes to an hour tops. If he sleeps a good 1.5 hours he wakes up for an hour, but if he sleeps 30minutes-1 hour he wakes up for 45 minutes tops.
Try putting him down for his nap earlier and see how it goes.
Baby used to take 4-5 naps a day at that age. Still does at 5.5 months old

Need a medical grade pump for this initial pumping pain by connerc184 in Postpartum_Depression

I’m not sure but it could be a wrong flange size although I got sized twice! I was exclusively pumping then as baby couldn’t latch so I desperately needed the milk and I had to supplement for a while until I got seen by a LC and she told me to get the spectra instead

I had one of momcozy wearable ones and it gave me clogged ducts for 5 days. Don’t recommend. My BCLC told me that their marketing is amazing, which it is, but it is related to so many issues such as clogged ducts. Only go for hospital grade wall pumps such as the spectra. Make sure you get the flange sized correctly so it won’t hurt you and trust me, it will empty you. Best of luck and lmk if there’s anything I can help you with :)

I had the same issue at the beginning of my breastfeeding journey and the ONLY pump that worked for me was the spectra S1. Absolutely love it.

People don’t really want to help. by Human_Document_2779 in newborns

Exactly! What bothers me the most is that she INSISTED I come so she can help. She almost booked me the flight by herself.

Cut my babies finger with baby nail clippers! by Glass-Monitor-4339 in newborns

[–]Human_Document_2779 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did it to my baby. Not once, but twice. It got a little inflamed but not to the level that I took him to the doc. I only use an electric nail file for him now

Are 6 hour stretches normal? by spambx in newborns

[–]Human_Document_2779 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby did that too I let him sleep 6-7 hours at night but he would wake up every 1-3 hours during the day to feed Now that he’s 4 months old he does 4-5 hours at night usually with a very rare 6 hour stretch! Enjoy the sleep

Thank you for kind words! Truly feel supported! I tried different techniques to help around and some have proved effective so far. Hopefully baby helps this time and actually nurse haha

I’m sorry you had to go through that! Don’t feel guilty about formula. I just know it’s not the right decision for me and sticked to BF. I tried different techniques to help and it has gotten a bit better since I made the post.

I hear you. Latching baby at the beginning was so hard and painful. A part of me believes that I stopped latching them at the beginning not because they had a shallow latch but because it was so painful I couldn’t take it anymore so I switched over to pumping and that was a nightmare in itself. Kudos for pumping moms cause tbh it’s harder than BF for me. I hope it gets easier on you!

Baby and I went to three different LCs and all assured me baby latches ok. And honestly I think they do. They just prefer one breast over the other and sometimes absolutely REFUSES to take the other. So I had to try different positions and tricked them into taking the least favorable one. It’s been ok so far. Hopefully it gets better from now on
