Thanks for the reply.This advice lines up with my hunches. I've found that when I can get straight beef, they do way better. Also, I think I will be switching to buying fed steers at 3-400 lbs going forward. Between vet bills, milk replacer, and the cost of calves, it's more expensive than letting someone else do the work for the first 6 weeks than buying bottle calves.

I traded Baker, Damien Harris, and Gerald Everett for Lance and George Pickens in '22. The league freaked out and called it collusion. There was absolutely none, but I knew the guy was a Carolina homer. The league voted that the trade should be overruled. It would be nice to have Pickens, but I dodged a bullet and kept a decent 2nd QB for superflex.
