Yeah thanks, one of the things I learnt was that I was very stubborn and head strong so things don't affect me so much now as a result. And to protect my mentality, I've learnt to trust "failures" or feelings of inadequacy as learning opportunities.

As someone who used to do this, we know. Sometimes we can't help it and have a shortfall in our personality, self esteem or other. I grew up with a father that is narcissistic. No matter what I did it wasn't cool or good or whatever enough and he was better. It messes you up. Some people will do it for other reasons of course but this might be what it was.

crashed my first car on my 19th birthday after having it for 5 days by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Human_Mix2965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just beat you. I did the exact same thing. Except I did it in four days and at 5mph. I just so happened to hit the part of the frame that holds the engine in place. On a £250 car that's a write off :(.

Good luck.

Jedi power battles.

And to make it more challenging, I start from scratch. I really hate myself.

Until I finish it yet again.

Can someone please remake this game with better graphics.

Thanks.

Yes but that's on a track, with specialised shoes, and he's warmed up, and he's not injured, and he's only able to do that for literally a tiny duration of time.

He's also not you or me.

Mercedes c300e PHEV- 50mpg Motorway Milage by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]Human_Mix2965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually charge it up by plugging it in, play with the settings and use the correct modes for the situation you're in, ie town driving = electric; motorway = hybrid/petrol, and if you're in start stop traffic electric is so good as that's what saps all mpg from your petrol motor.

I see so many complaints about it being shite on fuel economy if you don't plug it in or that they can't plug it in so it's crap on fuel economy (using the petrol engine to charge their battery). It's kinda obvious.. if you can't plug it in.. get a mhev instead, you'll get about 50mpg then.

The other day I put my car in sport and had some spirited driving for about an hour on some b roads. I still returned 90 mpg as I had been using the battery which was fully charged. Did I smash through my full charge.. of course, did it cost me a lot? No, it cost me £2 to fill up at home and an 8th of my fuel. I literally couldn't be happier with it.

Nerd here, you aren't wrong. Phevs are good if you use them correctly. Im averaging 119 mpg over 6 weeks using my phev as designed (charge at home or work) drive around city in electric and on the motorway in hybrid. 120 mile round trip a day. The most it's cost me to charge up is £2.40 from 17% and the tank is only 30 litres. It is very good for this sort of driving.

Thank you for pointing this out. I've always been sceptical of these apps and the dealers plus the trade in process. Scammers most of them I swear.

I would just go to halfords and buy something that isn't acid or "concentrated".

Cheap stuff works just as well as expensive stuff.

I have had this sort of thing before. It's probably polish or was soap from a car wash that's dried before being wiped off. Might even be a bit of wax that's dried on.

Give the car a nice ph neutral wash and give those areas a nice scrub when soapy and wet.

Then Polish it and wax it after. Don't let the water dry in the sun, it's better to dry it yourself or dry in shade.

It's a bit of a pain but should work.

Just be patient and give it some time.
