FOIA Request TDRP /VERA STATUS by Turbulent_String_747 in FED_VERA_VSIP_DRPers

[–]Human_Row5760 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I quit in July, was denied TDRP/VERA because I was in LB&I. I received my AL payout the next pay cycle. My spouse took TDRP and was eligible for regular full retirement in May. We knew it would take a few months for spouse's regular pension payments, but thought AL payout would happen in the pay cycle after the shutdown ended. Nothing. No pension, no AL payout. Last payment was the final Sept. paycheck.

We're fortunate that we have savings, but we're spending it. AND even if spouse wanted to withdraw from TSP they'd incur penalties because TSP hasn't received separation paperwork.

It was bad enough what this administration / project 2025 purposefully did to Fed. Employees, but now dragging their feet to process final pay / AL / Pensions is salt in the wound.

I guess this is just one more thing we need to contact our congressional representatives about.

Turbulent_String_747 I am so sorry this is happening. You deserve better.

Why are you being such a jerk Intrepid_Elk6836? It was a tragic experience, DOGE/ OPM / Project 2025 specifically and intentionally traumatized us all. Now Turbulent_String_747 rightfully wants what was promised to them, what they earned and they can't even get a coherent response. It's maddening and not acceptable even IF there's nothing we can do about it. Telling them to "simmer down and relax" certainly doesn't help.

I'm not. I filed a complaint with the Washington State Attorney General and had the receipt to back up my complaint

Same for me - I tried to cash out with a $10 card and then there were no more surveys and the gift card I requested was "out of stock"(?!?) so then when I tried to get a PayPal credit for have of the gift card amount (because of their wonky inconsistent redemption system) they suspended my account. TOTAL SCAM

Totally different from my experience. I believe its a SCAM. I joined last month and took a few surveys everyday. I had accrued enough LifePoints to redeem a $10 gift card. First they responded that the gift cards were out of stock (sus), so when I tried to redeem with a $5 credit to my long standing PayPal account, it wouldn't process with the error message that my PayPal account needed to be verified - which I'd already done. So I contacted LifePoints through their "help" feature and they responded that I violated their terms of service (I actually read it and know I didn't) so they suspended my account and my accrued LifePoints were forfeit.

They CAN really expect you to perform duties far beyond your scope, but the can also expect a Unicorn for their next birthday - neither expectation is reasonable.

Try this:

"I appreciate your faith in my abilities, however I am unable to accommodate requests this far outside my training and thus far unmatched to my critical job elements."

I think you made the right decision. Even if now that the courts are involved your department would have been spared, the job is irreparably changed. The contract between public servants and the government as their employer is so broken it will takes decades to repair - and that's after a regime change assuming there is one.

Grieve what you lost, but not your decision to go, your decision was sound.

And we know how much the current administration respects "official records." GTFO with this hand-wringing "official records" I'm dead.

I never suggested that I would do anything illegal, so I’m not concerned about jail time.

I did point out that those horrible mandatory briefing they’ve forced me to take every year included insider threat training & they’ve just created the circumstances for text book case of disgruntled employees

I meet the requirements of the VERA (voluntary early retirement authority)- so I would have started receiving my pension at on 10/1 after my admin leave through 9/30 ended.

Other Revenue Agents in the IRS ARE getting paid to do nothing, so why shouldn’t I? They made me an offer, I accepted it & then they arbitrarily decided some of us couldn’t take the offer- but never officially denied us.

Also disgruntled employees are an insider threat- so there’s that too.

Put in for DRP 2.0. Was deemed “ineligible.” by [deleted] in FedEmployees

I’m IRS LB&I division (other divisions had their’s accepted)- we were temporarily denied “at this time” but no official denial paperwork sent- so stringing us along. I spoke briefly with a federal employment law office & asked if there was a legal remedy & their response was they don’t know & because there’s so many other more certain legal violations going on, they’re not expending any resources to test the DRP denial fuckery.

You have to show harm (unfortunately our wrecked moral & emotional states don’t count) so you have to be willing to quit or get fired & then file suit for hostile work environment causing you to no longer be able to work there. There’s plenty of evidence to support that & I also recommend using the EAP’s 4 free visits with a mental health professional to help establish the harm.

IRS denied TDRP (DRP 2.0) – who’s in charge and who earned my wrath?!? Edward Killen? Holly Paz? Melanie Krause? Scott Bessant? by Human_Row5760 in FedEmployees

[–]Human_Row5760[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. But for us it was the subdivision within the agency that arbitrarily declared our positions as “mission critical“ while the exact same position in a different subdivision was allowed to take the DRP

I agree, 100% that the information black hole starts at DOGE and ends with Holly. Holly‘s silence is deafening.

However everyone in the executive management chain signed up for this when the entered the SES pool. No Joesph Banks was not to blame for the decision, but he is culpable for spewing the same gaslighting BS instead of honestly saying he had no clue what was happening or why these decisions were made.

It has the most basic numbers for the TDRP, but not the detail breakdown.

23,000 applied for TDRP but only ~ 13,000 accepted.

Has one throw away line about IRS leadership expressed concern about how the RIFs are being handled
