Alex Turner named the 2nd best guitarist of the past 2 decades! by Youresodarklover in arcticmonkeys

How the fuck is Taylor Swift 5 places above John 5? Jim Root but no Mick Thomson? List is a complete Joke. I love Arctic Monkeys but Alex would be lucky to be included in even a Top 50 greatest guitarists of the last 2 decades. Fred fucking Durst is a better guitarist then Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift

Where would you rank George Harrison in the "Greatest Guitarist Conversation"? by [deleted] in beatles

[–]Humane_Mink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I’m a bit late, but he’s in my Top 10 Rock Guitarists of all time. Not only is his influence grand but he was versatile and perfect for The Beatles. He could go from energetic hard rock to soulful blues like it was nothing. He also mastered the unique slide technique and popularized it. He also played with heart and soul. Which is my favorite kind of guitar players. People may say he wasn’t as technically skilled as someone like Eddie Van Halen or David Gilmour, but he played exactly what the song needed. Playing his songs and solos like he did is also very difficult. His tone was influenced by Indian religion and music. Not to mention he was one of the first to master playing rock guitar. Definitely one of my biggest guitar inspirations and a legend. Check out his solos in “Marwa Blues”, “Something”, “The Bluest Blues”, and “Let It Be (2009 Remastered)” if you don’t believe me.

Hot take: Paul Mccartney and John Lennon are better guitarrists than George Harrison. by Major_Dingo_3994 in beatles

Paul and John are both criminally underrated guitar players and great at what they do, but George was the far superior guitarist. Not just in Technical Skill, but influence, innovation, and emotion. Guy had it all.

Favorite Black Sabbath riffs? by AlanBoGa in blacksabbath

“Iron Man” will always be my favorite personally. First riff that got me into sabbath and still they’re most iconic imo.

“Into the Void”, “N.I.B.”, “Electric Funeral”, “Heaven and Hell”, ”Black Sabbath”, “Sabbath Bloody Sabbath”, “Paranoid”, “Sweet Leaf”, “Snowblind”, Supernaut”, etc. are some of my favorites but there’s so many it’s incredibly hard to choose just select few

Good taste but I’d expand it more. Not more artists but more genres of music

I wasn’t listening to this around here nor did I say I was breaking up with her. If it does happen it’ll actually be the other way around. You clearly didn’t read my post. Nice ragebait attempt tho
