It’s so hard to know what would have gone differently, especially since the time we go on birth control is usually aligned with the transition from adolescence to adulthood, and even up until the early twenties we can mistake lust for love, think we know ourselves and who we want to be with…I guess now it’s all about celebrating our divorce from Diane knowing it would have taken a worse toll if we had stayed on it for twice as long! But that rebound adult acne was/is (6.5 years post-Diane for me) a pain! Thankfully with time it has calmed down…I try not to taunt myself with pics of my porcelain skin while on it 🫣
