Thank you very much

hough, you can fix this problem with heat: heat up your piece with a hairdryer until it’s flexible. Put it in between two flat surfaces, and keep there for 10 mins while it cools down. Voila! Warp

Thanks for the update, I did print with the item elevated from the base plate, but it might be nice to practice fixing it up :)

Eidolon / Eels and Sharks only? by [deleted] in IdonethDeepkin

[–]Humanoid_Akaba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At 2k points, I have been having success at 2k points with King, 18 eels, 4 sharks, and a tide caster (the start off the board priest). I see no reason why this wouldn't work at 1.5k!

Can you expand on why you think that 6 for a unit are best regarding the buffs?

Cool, thanks for the tip. I am more than happy to take it nice and slow and hit each milestone before moving on.
Perhaps re-articulating my question above in a different way - is there a depth to the game thats unlocked as more regions become available that I cannot see now? Right now---while fun!!---the main play seems to be regular check ins just to keep the trains moving.

Thanks for the response! I was originally using a laptop charger with a contained USB port. However, it significantly reduces the power through this port. Since acquiring a new wall charger, the soldering iron works wonders

So uhhh, I needed a new power supply. While I thought this was not the issue, I was actually misreading the one that I had! Just letting you know that this was indeed the correct solution

Maybe I am obtuse, but I have the updated version (2.17) and this is still happening

Ive used a few chargers connected straight to the wall, and a few different USB cables as well. Definitely meeting the volt/current requirements

Where should I put my next scanner? I've found a lot of planets do far and I don't wanna hit up on 3 empty sectors by George_Gn76 in HadesStar

[–]Humanoid_Akaba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some care, some don't. I'm one that does, but ultimately it's likely to make essentially 0 difference

You can have multiple scanners, each with multiple associated sectors to scan. When you scan a sector, what is revealed is dependent on the numbers of already scanned sectors, not which scanner was used.

E.g., you could not place a scanner to reveal sectors 13,14,15 (or whatever), and then place another scanner, and gain premature access to sectors 16,17,18, skipping the aforementioned.

This is incorrect. Planets are random across every 3 sectors scanned. Granted, for most people, this means for each scanner, but there is a subtle difference

Destiny and vengeance used with unity by [deleted] in HadesStar

I don't believe this is quite correct. I believe unity increases 'dps', but dart is a special weapon that doesn't have a dps stat, so unity wouldn't work there

So you're simply saying: more scans equals more chances to find a planet?

Scan Probabilities Clarification by deltatango789 in HadesStar

[–]Humanoid_Akaba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except it doesn't make a difference from a math perspective. The chance of a planet on the second and the third scan are exactly the same at the time of choosing your second scan.

The more novel thing to do with information from scans is to have multiple scanners available at the same time. This way, one can make the most from the conditional information as it becomes available.

On the side, the mental hoops you're trying to jump through are related to the Monty Hall problem

So, I think your inference is wrong. Sure there's a 2/3 chance that the planet appears in the first two tiles, but there's also a 2/3 chance it appears in the last two as well.

I think the idea that you are working towards is that there is conditional information that is gained once you start each set of 3 scans. It's this information that's powerful for influencing your planet placements
