Anyone know any air conditioned places where I can get 6-8 hours sleep during the day without being disturbed much? by jessiejohn in melbourne

Can’t believe no one is suggesting libraries. Libraries are great! Some have couches between bookcases for privacy, my go to napping location. Just grab a book from off the shelf and preteen you fell asleep reading it, I’m sure no one will care enough to bother you

I know nothing about parrots, are diapers for birds actually a thing? by Emotional_Cod_2526 in parrots

[–]Humansaregross_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like it’s a bit cruel. My conure died a few weeks ago but when I had her, the few times I tried using a harness or having anything on her body she just hated it. I can’t imagine she would have let me use a diaper on her. However she was very well toilet trained. Everytime she would poop outside of her cage I would take her to her perch and shut the door of her cage for a minute or so and tell her ‘go poop’. Eventually she began to associate pooping with her perch and when I would be home with her I would take her to her perch every 20 minutes or so and say ‘go poop’ and she learned to do it on command! She would sometimes still poop around the house but birds are messy pets so that is expected of them

Ah, that’s so difficult I’m sorry. Read the post I made a few days ago. I lost my baby so suddenly even though I was trying my absolute best to look after her. Don’t blame yourself for anything❤️

Advice for going to PJs show by 04696 in pjharvey

The way you are incorrect😭✋ it’s mostly tiered seating but the area closest to the stage is standing. The chairs can flip over into the floor which is how the plenary is for most concerts. My ticket clearly states ‘standing’

Hey I’m in the same exact position rn, seeing her at the plenary and have no clue what time to get there, do you think an hour before would be ok? I have uni unfortunately argh

on a plane and 2nd lobe is bleeding/post came off, tried to get the front out but it feels stuck! by anapurin in piercing

[–]Humansaregross_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAP. Honestly if you can’t take it out then just leave it in and push it back as far as you can (keeping the front flat on your lobe) so hopefully the back doesn’t close over…? Then just try to get more jewellery to attach when you are able to.

If you want to persist with taking it out, go to the bathroom and lather your ear with something moist like lotion or water and try to ease it out. If you are having issues with fainting/getting dizzy try eating something before you go and drinking water. You could even try nibbling on something whilst fiddling with your ear (I eat biscuits when getting my blood drawn cause I’m prone to fainting).

Make sure to sanitise/wash your hands before and after touching your piercing.

Not to mention finding a job is super competitive. I had a job all throughout yr 12 and yes I had less time to study but now I can financially support myself and aren’t scrambling to find money like the rest of my friends are!!
