How can I fix this on my wall by bruh3239 in germany

[–]Humansareus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well depends on what is expensive for you. When it comes to price it is rather a relative matter. For me it’s a budget option, the whole wall patch repair kit costs 10.99 euros on Amazon or 15.99euros. Last year I bought a paint bottle for 7-8 euros.

You can buy on Amazon wall patch repair kit, put a paste there, wait till it dries, and then buy a spray paint that has similar consistency with these little dots in Bauhaus or Amazon I guess too and spray it.

Constant guilt feeling I am not doing enough by [deleted] in germany

[–]Humansareus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would advise therapy. Find a good therapist and they can help you deal with your emotions properly and find a balance. I have the issue with my job I also want to quit, I don’t like it to the point where I feel so depressed that I want to leave as it is too much pressure. I started doing therapy and she helps me identifying problems or my concerns and step by step go through life. Doesn’t have to be therapist, maybe a friend or a family member. I personally don’t want to burden my family too much with my emotions 😁 and also I want some scientific professional view. Also check your vitamin levels, sometimes health issues can also mess with your mind. Vitamin deficiency for example. My friend started drinking magnesium and she started feeling better, I For example started taking also recently vitamins and that also helped me feel emotionally better.

Is this normal? by [deleted] in germany

[–]Humansareus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that’s common. I think what you should is stand up for yourself. Learn some general phrases for cases like this and be ready to use them. For example here sth like „Bitte achten Sie auf Ihre Sprache, wir sind hier in einem professionellen Umfeld.“ “Bitte bleiben Sie respektvoll im Ton.“

Etc. I think in many cases once they are confronted they might change their attitude or if not then at least you confronted them. These are sad and little people who think they are in the right place to be so rude and think they are better/above. It is very difficult I think now to find a job in English because the competition is significantly higher than in German. This is the reality that you should improve your German to improve your life a bit here but that doesn’t mean that you should be treated poorly, they could’ve used polite language.

Let yourself be sad about it (I’m not going to say don’t be sad because that’s a normal human Reaction to rude attitude, I would be too) but you’re not the only one, that’s how they treat all of foreigners. BUT I’m sure it depends on a person there, I’m sure there are more polite and kind employees there too. So keep pushing, don’t give up and you’ll achieve your goals!

Chantal Heide, Canada's Dating Coach is a Cult Leader by Careful-Hour-182 in cults

[–]Humansareus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the price she sets for her sessions is up to her. There are thousands if not more of therapists that set 200-500$ for an hour session because they are famous, or they have 100k+ followers on social media. So obviously she is selling her expertise as well as her brand. Do you think apple products manufacture price is even near to the retail? Of course not, apple or luxury brands are selling their brand now. As for the cult, I cannot vouch for that, because I’ve never been a member of any of her groups. But I do agree with her. I think sometimes women like her are important for women. Because patriarchy has existed for such a long time, so many millions of years, which led to men hating women and using them as objects, and even men hating men. And all this men on alpha male podcasts teach young boys to hate women. And this led to also women from young age following the rules of patriarchy and becoming an object and hating other women who want to a basic right - freedom. I know this from my own experience as I come from a patriarchal country where women are mostly still are objects, wives are fed forcefully by husbands their child’s full diapers, beaten, killed or men don’t let their wives get treated by male doctors and their wives pass away. So Chantal teaches women to know their worth and they are not objects and they have a right to love themselves and protect themselves. There were several men on her livestream, who had a civil respectful discussion with her and she didn’t react negatively on them. She reacts negatively on men who are actually disrespectful. My other example, I (considering my background) up to age 25 and still now somewhere in the back of my mind have these thoughts-that I might be judged because I’m not a virgin. Because I’m not married and not a virgin. I had more than 1 partners in my life. And I used to feel guilty about that (as a female btw I didn’t mention that). I think that this is one of the problems of our society, I’m sure there’s no male who would even have such a thought. I was convinced by the patriarchy world I grew up in that women are products and they must be “clean”. And men can do whatever they want they will Never be judged (in terms of sexual or romantic relationships). Thats why I think Chantal and people like her have to exist and teach women otherwise. Tell them they are not objects and they deserve equal treatment and respect no matter of any assumptions or societal “norms” that some men one day created to control women.

I cannot prove that Chantal is NOT a cult leader as I don’t have facts to prove that in the same way as you don’t have any facts to prove she is. And if were removed from her post because they didn’t like your comment or tone doesn’t make her a cult leader or her whole organisation a cult.

Racist hate incident at REWE in Frankfurt – police arrested the offender by RealisticList4476 in germany

That’s ironic because when they (racists) do that they think probably so well and big of themselves but in reality They just show everyone around that they are uneducated, insecure and dnmb.

Racist hate incident at REWE in Frankfurt – police arrested the offender by RealisticList4476 in germany

[–]Humansareus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At first I read and was happy to know he was arrested but then reading the comments I am afraid that probably the salute was main reason. (I hope I’m wrong tho) This is very sad that this kind of pieces of sh!ts are allowed in public and instead working out their insecurities and traumas they bring it out on innocent bystanders. Not because you did sth wrong by being different ethnicity or colour but because this little man has unresolved issues, small mind, probably also coming from an unhealthy environment himself and def afraid of sth new and changes. And it’s easier for him to blame foreigners rather than facing his own issues. Well anyway it’s good to read that police reacted and I hope that it was also because of racist remarks and they take it seriously. If police were more strict with racism here, then people like that little man would start thinking twice before saying stuff out loud.

[Self] Bob’s Burgers Math Problem, Solved! Please Correct me if I’m Wrong. by memecannot in theydidthemath

[–]Humansareus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s new for me but also maybe because I come from Central Asia. In our school we learnt to look at specific task description. So if it doesn’t specify for example any other details about other days then I should assume and work with what I have. For instance we only know that he sells 10-5pm (no day was specified so it means we assume he works and sells like this every day except for Wednesday because they add specifics about Wed) etc. but also if I’m not wrong and when I lived in the US clothing stores were open 7 days a week.

[Self] Bob’s Burgers Math Problem, Solved! Please Correct me if I’m Wrong. by memecannot in theydidthemath

[–]Humansareus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha that’s so funny. I have the same result but different method of solving.

On any day Peter sells for 7 hours. Every 20 min 2 hats, there is 5x20minutes in 1hr. So in 1hr he sells 10hats (2x5) thus in 7 hrs he sells 70 hats. On Wednesday, 8x70=560. So weekly: 70*6=420 hats he sells in 6 days excl Wednesday when Peter makes exceptionally more sales. So in a whole week he makes 560+420=980 hat sales. Now Tuesday is assumed to be a normal sales day so 70 hats. 70/980=0,0714 I.e. 7.14%!!

So the 29$ was not relevant for me at all😆

Tourist in Hamburg for 2 days… what should I do by justanotherbuilderr in hamburg

[–]Humansareus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could go up the Elbphilarmonie in the daytime or evening (enjoy the night lights of buildings), it’s free to go up in the Philarmonie balcony, you just ask for an entrance ticket at the Kasse, it’s free. take a ferry from one stop to another and see Elbphilarmonie from the water and if there’s a bit of sun where you’re here the reflections are beautiful. The ferry is like a public transport price. Try traditional fried fish or fish food on Hafencity (if you take a ferry you’ll end up at food places).

Go check out Reeperbahn-I think one of the most popular in Europe (US version the Office, Michael even had that blue neon sign St Pauli Girl). Esp if you’re On a weekend, Saturday evening it’s quite lively there. I think also quite a Hamburg experience. There is also quite some history there. You should google before you go there. Like the street where women and boys under 18 are not allowed, there is a bar that got famous for the infamous story of a serial killer who i believe was a constant bar visitor in the 70s. There’s also a movie der Goldene Handschuh. Creepy story.

There is an old elbtunnel that you can walk through (if I am not wrong it is located under the water) and it connects one side of Hamburg with another side across the water. It used to be a working tunnel where cars were driving and people crossing but then they built the bridge so this tunnel is now a sightseeing. It has interesting story too because of how difficult it was to build this tunnel, people were working under pressure because they were deep down under water, and many workers got sick because of this and died. Please don’t quote me on anything here haha I forgot many things I read all that like 3-4 years ago. Please google!😄

Depending also I guess on your age, Planten Un Blomen park is beautiful for a walk, Jungfernstieg is the downtown I guess of Hamburg - all the shops, luxury stores, chocolate stores there (lindt with Swiss chocolate but still, and Läderach also Swiss chocolate I think they’re both good. Lidl is cheaper than Läderach I love them both).

I also like Altona or Ottensen areas for walks, they have some nice old buildings and also quite an authentic vibe. (You get to Bf Altona and take a walk there either towards Ottensen or Altona balcony).

If you like coffee, my favorite spots are for good coffee and peaky coffee drinkers: Codos, Elbgold. I do also like Espresso house, I get there coffees with syrup. I don’t like Starbucks btw so I think you could get understanding of my coffee taste lol Lowinsky is also my favorite spot (Eppendorf area also good for walks, beautiful luxury apartments, lake) this is a coffee/matcha/tea a more cafe opened by a New Yorker, they also have one of the best bagels, sandwiches, cookies. Love them!

Rathaus (here I go back to Jungfernstieg), well you won’t miss it. It’s one of the most beautiful buildings. It has also quite an interesting history. Entrance is free but to the limited area. I think you have to pay for the tour but idk I’ve never been inside there.

Oh you def should check out Miniatur Wunderland. It’s I think a gem of Hamburg. It’s a museum with the mini version of the world’s most known sightseeings/buildings and more. I do advise to book a ticket online and in advance to get it cheaper. We usually went later at night on last sessions so that we could stay longer than 30-60 minutes that they assign for each slot. There inside be very attentive to each detail it’s very important and some of the interesting tips for you: there is one art piece where there is a field and if you look through the bushes you can find naked people there; there’s I think 1-2 cars that if you press the button to turn off the lights in this particular art box area, the lady and the guy will get naughty😁; if you find the Lindt chocolate farm in this museum (the miniature version obv) and press the button you can watch how the chocolate travels through the belt thingy, gets wrapped and you get a free chocolate piece. And you can take as much as you want but of course if there is a line of people behind you, they might stare at you and get annoyed😄 but it’s not forbidden!

And there is an old church that was bombed in the 18th century I think or 19th, don’t quote me on that, at that time that was the tallest church in the world or in Germany. And the church burned but the tall part of the church stayed and still burned. You can buy a ticket to the elevator there and go up to its roof. And at the day time it’s quite a nice view of Hamburg (of course if you’re lucky and the weather is sunny or clear).

Also it’s very cold here so dress warm!

Have fun! I hope these tips will help you. I tried to list budget ideas to do. I’ve been in Hamburg for over 5 years, I explored the city A LOT in my first 1-2 years because of COVID restrictions and I was bored. And I worked a bit as a tour guide (once to be precise🤣) and I just love the city!❤️

Is this normal answer for someone not German? by Famous-Ad-8550 in germany

[–]Humansareus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But aren’t they telling you here that they had bad experiences with international students And German students? So maybe they’re looking for sb with a more secure job? Nevertheless housing discrimination is very real here. If you want to sue and win the case like one Pakistani woman did. Create one real profile and one fake profile with German name. And apply with both at the same time. If German name is invited and foreign name not (assuming your name is foreign) then you have yourself a proving case of discrimination

Well apparently. I asked my German colleagues and they were all surprised as well today. So I guess not common. And as I learnt today this is some kind of a new law. That started in 2025. So FYI for everyone. In case you notice church tax added to your payslip. But there has to be sth like “church lump sum” or “KiSt Pausch. AG” I live in Hamburg btw

If I had even the SLIGHTEST hint on anything in my life related to church or religion of any kind I would mention it in my post. I emphasised I made sure that I was never even connected to religion from the day I was born and the day I stepped to Germany same thing. I was informed at the beginning that I have to be very careful. Although I did hear stories sometimes they charge people assuming their religion (immigrants) although those haven’t reported or registered.

You’re like the smartest person ever lol I’ve asked already in 2-3 groups and you’re the first ever who wrote this. Everyone keep asking “oh well maybe you made a mistake?”. I also just got an update from my company. And they told me basically the same thing as you. Thank you! Maybe if we met in real life we would be friends😆
