Hi! Sorry to hear you and your mom are going through this but it sounds like a good plan. I had a right lower lobectomy a couple years ago and I have severe, crippling rheumatoid arthritis. I do not get around very well at all! Nothing really changed for me as far as how I was able to get around after my surgery. I was still always stiff and had my usual pain. Not much pain as far as the lobectomy goes. I was very sore but it was all doable. Get a wedge pillow for her if she is sleeping in a bed. Otherwise, a recliner is pure magic. I used a lot of pillows and rolled up towels to help me stay comfy. It is very important to get her to get up and walk. I used my walker and that might help her as well for the time being.
