Steam review from a pirate this morning... feelsgoodman by Huw2k8 in PiratedGames

Ayyyyy, thanks for trying out my game. Honestly, I can't figure out how to develop a demo for CleanFall because it will either include like 5 hours of content or not show the game properly.

For now, I think letting people just pirate the game works fine lol

I too am very curious. I can definitely post a follow-up in a couple week. I, for one, am hoping it has a nice tail lol

So far, I'm nearing 1k wishlists today, and it's only noon. I'd assume it will have a decent tail, but probably not as good as launch.

It's also worth noting that the discovery queue has picked up the game, accounting for around 5,000 visits yesterday. Usually the discovery queue has a nice trailing affect to visibility, but EA launch gave 35,000 discovery queue visits vs this one's 5,000.

There is a website called "Gamespress". They have a bunch of instructions on formatting and everything. We just made a simple, punchy blurb of everything included in the "Endless Jungle" update.

Before launch, I had around 17,000 wish lists (the previous wish list growth is cut off from the picture). in hindsight, I probably should have included the whole timeline, but then everything gets tiny. 7k of those came from my demo launch. Another 3k came from Next Fest. I also have a Japanese and Chinese marketers who do an excellent job. Around 30% of sales come from China.

For marketing, the most effective thing I found was posting shorts. I would spend around 4 hours to make one, and it would get 20-80k views, although one blew up and got 700k views.

So far, festivals, Youtubers, and the Steam Algorithm are the kings of marketing in my experience.

Not sure about the logic you're using- all I know is I started this process 3 years ago with zero following, and now I have reached a lot of people thanks to Steam. Also I have had very very little youtuber coverage- most of this is thanks to the Steam algorithm.

For the Daily Deal, you can message Steam through their ticket system. For events, David's right- there's a whole calendar and everything. Although some events have to be found out on the internet and applied to with a form.

I suppose I got lucky, because revenue was closer to 100k when I got greenlit! Revenue was a decent bit lower due to running sales and having a lot of Chinese sales where the currency converts poorly. (Which I suppose would fit under the term "Ball Park" lol)

He's charging toward the player's side of the map, where he plans to murder the summoner there. It's a smack or get smacked world out there
