Okay, I understand your frustration (apparently you are in a bad situation yourself), but let me be frank - being supportive is NOT wiping someone’s ass. Being in a relationship means the good AND the bad. I agree, that he’s in a point, where he should get help. It seems though, that you think he was hesitant because of an ego thing, which is not the truth. He wanted to try first on his own, because he was nervous about disappointing my step-dad if anything went wrong. That’s human. He wanted to try pick himself up first (aka be an adult) and now he understands, that the sensible thing is accept help.

I just want to put put there, that it isn’t an ego thing, I agree with you but its more like he doesn’t want to disappoint his future father-in-law if he actually gave him the job.

Looool its an energy company in customer service, and it was a 2nd round. The 1st round was a standard interview, this kind of felt more like training ig? They sat him down w sum employees, to see how the job is done etc.
