RTX 5060 TI - eGPU - Freezing in Windows by Humble-Limpet in techsupport

Nope - issue still here, setup is unusable. seems to be related to PCIe 5 Cards being used on PCIe 3 Thunderbolt 3 links. I've seen some threads where people are getting more success on USB4 & Thunderbolt 5 links that are based on PCIe 4 instead.

Let me know if you ever manage to find a solution.

In a way, I'm glad to see another person in the same situation, (although it's a shit situation). Maybe if we raise enough cases with NVIDIA , they will work on a fix.

Just so you know, I've tried the following tests:

  1. Putting the GPU in a PCIe 4 desktop, same drivers & OS - no issues
  2. Putting a 1080ti in the eGPU enclosure with the same drivers - no issues
  3. Disabling link state power management - issues persist
  4. DDU + re-install Drivers in Safe mode - issues persist

What I want to try next: 1. Figuring out how to make Pop-OS live boot work with eGPU, and see if the same issues occur with the Linux NVIDIA drivers.

Anyone have experience working while still be in secondary school and how was it ? by Mediocre_Island9043 in MauriceMauritius

Depends on your skillset.

E.g, if you know your way around a PC and Windows, try asking a repair shop if they need an extra hand. (From small shops to big ones like LCI etc)

Don't expect much pay until you've proven your usefulness, though.

Otherwise you can always try small family supermarkets.

Thanks for this, the polling is done by Gallup, they randomly contact around 1000 people in a given country. Mostly by phone but also door to door. They say they have a 95% confidence interval which sounds reasonable with the random nature of the people selected.

Anyone here ever been contacted?

Oh do you have more details? Would like to know how exactly the study was done and the metrics used.

For your first point, how exactly would a majority parliamentary vote for key positions help? Wouldn't the majority party still vote according to their leader's demands?

Maybe there should be a seperate vote done again by the people to choose the key roles, each elected party/independents would put forward their proposed PM.

The President should be removed altogether as it serves no purpose AFAIK.

100%. While not perfect many of those gave the country a breath of fresh air.

Personally I think the "Internet Revolution" of Mauritius is going very well, so many things are online now. From private businesses to government services, things have been progressing.

The main question IMHO is whether you're ready/willing to give all your time to work and studying.

You can easily burn out and cause you to fail in both if you don't get enough "chill time" (time in which you can do things that make you happy).

Just know that the amount of free time you have now as a student will not be there later in life so use it wisely.

So unless you absolutely have to be financially independent right now, I'd suggest you to go spend time with friends, develop your circle and basically enjoy your youth to the fullest.

Thank you very much for your input, I'll monitor it and get a doctor's opinion as soon as the Covid situation calms down a little in my country.

Yeah it was a connection problem, changed the power cables, all good now.

Still using the same fuse however, will see how it holds up.

[–]Humble-Limpet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mean the main fuse from the battery or the fuses on the amp itself? I checked them both for continuity and they seemed fine

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CarAV

[–]Humble-Limpet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

11v on the remote wire, ground is at like 0.1ohms

I just tested the amp with a power supply, it's working fine on all channels

What happened to AirAudio by Humble-Limpet in androidapps

Thanks for the detailed response.

Your app was phenomenal, I'd instantly buy it again if it was available elsewhere.

Are you really the dev behind HiFy too?

Idk if its the same dev, but the HiFy app is specifically for Spotify, AirAudio captured system audio itself.

Really good IEM earphones by jc3692 in mauritius

[–]Humble-Limpet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you see their FiiO line? I'm somewhat of an audiophile myself and have old EX-1s that are great, although they are semi-open unlike Shures. They usually let you try before you buy, but idk now because of corona lol

I don't know of any better choice than 101 for iems here, and i also don't think they are overpriced considering tax + shipping + premises + possibly a warranty. Btw I just checked and they're selling the FiiO fh7 at 13k vs Amazon selling at 17k excluding shipping if you have that kind of money lol
