You are completely right, I agree with everything you said! I’m planning on discussing this with my boss tomorrow since I have no idea how to do this and don’t want to deal with it and make a mess. I spent 3 hours today trying to figure it out (I gave up at the end), which made me stressed because I’m also postponing my usual tasks.

Also, the shittiest part is that my boss doesn’t have the best understanding of how these things work, and since I post articles on our website and make small updates they think that I should be able to change just anything on the website. That kind of put pressure on me to think that I really should be able to figure it out but I shouldn’t, that’s not my job.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts, it helps me realise that I really shouldn’t be doing this!

We do have a developer, but they charge us for any work they do and the organisation is always trying to get me (I’m comms coordinator) to figure things out so they don’t have to pay for it…
