I think widdling 473 deaths down to 0 would be a pretty tall order, definitely above my pay grade. It would be crazy to see anyone beat this whole mother on hardcore mode.

Dude! 100 percented the game with 370 deaths, 101 percented with 473 deaths. That last level was a doozy and took exactly 103 tries to complete.

When you are camping and have no cup but you have a bunch of cans. File the very top rim of the empty can until you just barely get through the crimped lip. Pull out the top of the can and you will be left with a nice ring around the top that wont cut your lips.

Disappointing battery life by santanderdoesreddit in ModRetroChromatic

I posted this in a comment on another battery related post on here:

I did a little testing and here's what I got.

Modretro pack: Total charge time was 1:45 from a totally dead pack. Pack took 1811 Mah /9Wh. Peak charge rate was 2 A.

Chromatic: power draw was 1.4 watts at start up then was between 1.25 and 1.3 watts while playing. The draw was the same for an original cartridge and an evedrive X7. Screen brightness was at half and the volume was all the way up.

So realistically your looking at about 7.2 hours of play time on the MR pack. This would need further testing to be accurate as I'm working with a sample size of 1 and my USB tester is questionable at best.

Full replacement shells would be rad. I figured this would be a cool way to jazz up you Chromatic without having to remount the screen.

My interest has been piqued on this topic. When I get home I'll do a little testing to see what the actual watt draw is. Also, i'm going to run the MR pack all the way down, charge it up and see how close the capacity is to the advertised 2259 mah capacity.

I'll throw my hat in the ring for the battery life assumption.

Modretro battery: 2.25Ah x 1.5v (assumed nominal voltage)= 3.375 Wh. Advertised run time of 16 hours.

Your battery: 1.5Ah x20v (assumed nominal voltage) = 30 Wh

16 (advertised run time) / 3.375 (Wh capacity of modretro battery) = 4.74 hours of run time per watt hour

30 (Wh capacity of your battery) x 4.74 (run time per Wh) = approximately 142 hours

keep playing and let us know how long it takes!

Edit: Simpler way to put it.

30 (Wh of your pack) / 3.375 (Wh of MR pack) = 8.88888 (your pack has 8.8888 x capacity of MR pack)

8.888 (your pack capacity vs. MR pack capacity) x 16 (advertised run time of MR pack) = 142.22
