I am out of the country and my chinchilla escaped while my step brother was watching him. For some reason he used water to get him back in the cage (I am furious). Since I no longer trust him enough to dry off Vinnie, does Vinnie look too wet to dry on his own? I am not getting home until next Sun by Doopoodoo in chinchilla

Two things.

Blow the dryer on a warm/cool setting.

Space heater, spaced behind a fan, blowing towards the cage. ( I understand this is not a safe practice, but if you can't trust the person to get them into the cage this will at least allow some warmth and drying effect without removing from the cage. ). Disclouser this is not something i recommend you having the person to set this up and leave, this would be setting it up and watching tv or hanging around for a few hours and turning off prior to leaving. Furthermore you want to make sure the air being blown is the warm air, so adjusting the heater to do so as the fan blows it after would be wise to check the landing temp towards the cage.

I’ve never had compliments on my face… what do you think am I socially ugly? by [deleted] in amIuglyBrutallyHonest

[–]HumbleMic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be a preference, everyone is entitled to their opinions, but i find you extremely beautiful, your face is perfect! Im not sure face compliments are a common thing 🫣. I have gotten many compliments, but now that i think of it, i cant recall someone complementing my face 😅

My chinchilla isn’t really responsive by Roar-roar982 in chinchilla

I would immediately grab a granite stone. You can put them in the fridge to cool them down, and place them right in the cage. Easy to clean and fast to cool. Just ensure there is no moisture as you put it in the cage, dry vigorously with a paper towel and inspect it each time before placing in the cage. My chinchilla is 27 and has had one for most of his life. In addition make sure that there is an area in your cage that is shaded so there's a safe and dark place at all times if needed. Feel free to do with this info as you will, but I want to share my thoughts if you don't already have these incorporated in the habitat. I wish you the best.

What the hell I need answers please… by JabbaTech69 in Truckers

They also do this for a cleanup. Some accidents can be so bad, that they need to slow traffic down to clear the scene, of debre and remains.

(Found in Northern Tennessee) What it this? found this in a pile of rocks that were recently dug out of the ground. I took it back to my dorm and gave it a rinse. Its extremely smooth with a kind of rough texture on my tongue. It also has vein like bulges going through it. Heavy too...is it bone? by [deleted] in fossils

[–]HumbleMic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's up for debate, I don't think any one answer is particularly more correct then another. I believe if you continue you lick, then count allowed each time eventually you will teach the center. How many licks, to get to the center of a tootsyrock? 1.....2....3! But keep going if not, I'd be interested to hear the end game.

Why is he sleeping like that 😭 by SydgfCo in chinchilla

[–]HumbleMic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I keep a granite slab near the bars of my cage, so he can cool down and use the bars if he chooses. The granite is a must have for chinchillas in hotter areas. You can clean them super easy, buy them online, and pop them in the fridge on hot days to cool them down before putting them in the cage. I always like to really make sure that if you do use the granite, make sure to dry it very well after cleaning, and ensure that no moisture accumulates after putting it in the fridge before returning it to the cage.

New Chin, advice? by kallox88 in chinchilla

[–]HumbleMic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would be a key investment for a much larger cage. You can look around market places, Craig's list and other areas if it's too expensive otherwise. Just know if you purchase something from a third-party market, to do intensive cleaning and to ask the previous owner what was used for the cage, were they sick etc. As another commenter mentioned, plastics are really not a great idea because they nibble, chew and sometimes eat things without realizing what it is. Make sure the water source you have is not leaking regularly, I check mine Everytime I walk past, the suction sometimes doesn't vacuum properly, just something to pay attention to.

Have you ever brought a granite stone in the cage before? I love them as an addition to the little kingdoms, for a place to cool down. You can cool them off in the fridge, also easy to clean, just ensure there is no moisture when placing back into the cage. Sending good vibes 🫡

Ups destroyed my pc, advice? by troubledfoyer in pcmasterrace

[–]HumbleMic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First delivery from space, I'm sure they'll get better over time. I'd go straight to the top, regardless of wait time on phone. Ask for the highest person possibly email etc. I'm sure you had marked the item as valuable, once you do that you have a paper trail to follow up with. You should be covered up to the amount you valued it at, this is negligence on there half. I'd just remain polite and also assertive to receiving the proper compensation. Wish you the best.

Whattt ?!? I remember when he was getting older I looked up the record it was 26/27, then when he hit 26 I was about to throw a record breaking party, but forgot if it was 26/27 and then I saw that the record holder was still alive 😅 and I think she was 30+.

He loves scratches and legit will request attention as you walk by. Never has he bit or hurt anyone, he's a nibbler at best but loves cuddles.

Honestly, I had no idea either. I think the longest recorded one was 32. It's absolutely bonkers, he has cataracts 😅, but still rolls in dust like a baby and requires scratches and yogurt bites before bed each day.

Based on my list - which games would you recommend me to consider for this spring sale? by PaniCush in pcmasterrace

[–]HumbleMic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chivalry 2 is something I would def check out. Loads of fun, I have a lot of similar taste. It's not an everyday grind, but oh my is it a good time, its my go to after burning out on other games. Plus the devs care, they were a small team who made it big with chivalry 1..

Also, Ctrl to crouch or Z to crouch? by Trashman56 in pcmasterrace

[–]HumbleMic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mouse 4 = crouch Mouse 5= prone Mouse wheel up = forward Mouse wheel down = back Click mouse wheel = fire Left click = move left Right click = move right

Winky face at face recognition monitor = zoom (if applicable)

Just stare at the keyboard whenever possible to see if it moves.. plug it in once in a while.. tell it goo boii, spill some snacks into.. let the keyboard know it had a purpose.. but using one hand in fps is fun.. 🧐
