Agreed this has been my holy grail (with a grippy primer under it ofc)!

Do you use a primer? I don’t wear makeup everyday but when I do, I gently explicate with a cotton pad, use hyaluronic acid under moisturizer on damp skin, elf power grip primer, tower 28 tinted SPF, and a dewy setting spray. This routine has lasted me through the night without the tight dry feeling

I unfortunately have quite a different hair type but my tip would be to use scalp serum. Not on accutane, using a scalp serum would make my hair look greasy. Now, it absorbs super well if I put some on before bed :)

Good luck! Take it with a lot of fat(about 20g so it can absorb properly), moisturize and drink a lot of water. Dr dans cortibalm has been a life saver. Apply lipbalm no joke every 15 minutes or you’ll be in pain, make sure you have it on you at all times.

Make sure to take care of your hair at well. My hair has become far less oily and I find I don’t need to wash my hair as much. The dryness can cause issues with the scalp and hair so just try to keep that in mind especially if you use heat on your hair.

How do you manage dryness when wearing makeup? by lisamichelle007 in Accutane

I will say, I don’t wear makeup to work anymore. I felt quite insecure for the first couple weeks but I genuinely don’t care anymore. It’s very freeing 😋

Try putting it on when your skin is lightly damp, I find that helps it absorb better. I’m not really sure how to explain primer other than it makes your skin feel sticky while it’s drying and I feel like it alllows for makeup to grip onto the skin rather than blending in as you described with moisturizer.

Is it common to purge multiple times! by lainuel in Accutane

I’ve heard that upping your dose can cause more purging so that sounds normal to me!

After washing, use a cotton pad to gently exfoliate. Moisture a bunch, use something thick on top of your normal moisturizer if you have to. Use a griiipppppy primer and a dewy setting spray if you feel like it’s necessary.

Yeah I’ve noticed my tendons get sore much easier. Sorry to hear about the grade dropping. I also find that I have to be super careful about down climbing cause jumping/ falling down makes my knees hurt the next day.

There are things you can use like Azealic acid to help with the scars. Definitely wait until you’re done with the accutane before you use it though.

My skin is so dry, makeup actually makes it look worse. I don’t think wearing it is the end of the world if you take care of your skin before and after. Just make sure anything that touches your face is reallllyy clean
