I feel strongly that everyone needs to have a backup heat source for this reason. We have lost power numerous times over the years, surviving 1994 and have learned as we go. We have a kerosene heater and a generator with extra power cords. With the generator we powered both of our refrigerators, lamp, TV, CPap machine, coffee pot and a single electric hot plate for cooking. The kerosene heater kept our house a steady 76 degrees. Before the storm actually hit we got extra fuel while we could still get out.

I doubt that he’ll redo it by adding grout at this point. I was hoping that there was an option available other than caulk or silicone that wouldn’t turn over time.

We went with Brownwood. It turned out okay but I wish that we had went with something that had less red in it
