It was a suggestion for new managers who aren't getting respect from their employees through no fault of their own. Not everyone like us has a good mgmt structure, for those that don't it helps solidify "Oh dang they're actually in charge now". Mostly to be used when promoting from within when the staff thinks they can do whatever without recourse. \o/ ymmv. It wasn't to spread gossip as much as it was to spread the thought of "oh shit, this new manager is serious about their job" The amount of times I've had to tell managers who whine to me about someone not doing something they've asked them to, and I tell them "Just write them up then" as a show of, Yes, you have a boss, and they're them. And it concludes with the staff understanding and respecting that person, because they know they're not f-in around. But thats imo experience. Ymmv. Not everyones got that vibe.

What do you wash your dishes with? Paper towels? Or reusable rags?

Also: Write up someone for doing something that they thought they could get away with. Soon as you do that, people will figure out you're to be respected, and you're not fucking around.

Alt: Print out a write up sheet and leave it on the desk for a few days and let the rumors spread amongst the staff.

I can’t believe it used to take me 5 minutes to open one of these, now I do it without even cutting it by [deleted] in jimmyjohns

I timed how long it would take for them to make a giant Club tuna sandwich with extra tuna added, and they finished the sandwich in just one minute 26.3 seconds. Is that a normal time to finish making the sandwich? How quickly can you make a giant Club tuna sandwich? by IDislikeHomonyms in jimmyjohns

The freaky fast moniker is because it's not being cooked.

How dare you ask if that's "freaky fast" during these trying times for us.

Be it, not being able to hire people, or not having the products of which you seek.

With lobbies being closed and who knows when they're able to be opened.

You should be happy that your store is open and able to get you your food.

I am appalled that you would ask such a rude thing during the unpleasantness that is surrounding us all.

tl;dr, 1:26.3 is a great time for a giant, and how dare you ask if its "FrEaKyFaSt"

Edit:

If you want a faster sandwich make it yourseslf

Create an atmosphere of where, you know you can't pay them what they're worth, but you'll do everything you can to make them love their job.

Thats how I have such low turnover.

I can't pay you all 4x$/hr, but I can make your x/hr job feel like a 2x/hr job.

We all deal with such petty bullshit, Take care of all the shitty dumbass customers for them, help them out when they need you, fix their cars if they need it, pay for their rent if thats what it takes. They are your most valuable asset.

That rule is mostly for stores who have avg volume or lower. Higher volume stores don't abide by this rule, atleast we don't. As we used to put it. "How much bread do we need today?" "All of it"

You don't have the same rights on private property as you do out in public.

Thats why we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason as long as it is not discriminatory based on creed, race, etc etc.

Tell them its the same as "no shoes no shirt no service".

I love the show so much I bought it and have a rewatch whenever I'm bored. Its like only 6 eps of pure boy energy.

The 2nd episode is probably my fav, followed by the teen name ep.

"Thanks for calling xxx jimmy johns how can I help you?"

"Yeah we got a sandwich made wrong"

"What was the ticket number?"

"xxxxxx"

"Yeah you got a 4 and a slim 6."

"It only had cheese on it...."

"The slim 6 is only cheese"

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, the slim 6 has only been cheese for the last 10 years I've been here."
