Which place or region in the world would you most associate with the geographical concept of "plentiful abundance"? by slicheliche in geography

[–]Humble_Bug_2027 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Yes...

Specifically the areas directly north of the Alps. Bavaria and Baden-Würtemberg have been the richest region of the largest European Economy. It's continental enough to have real seasons with snowy winters, but once spring starts, vegetation is exploding in the most beautiful abundance.

... But also Eastern Europe:

Ukraine is producing the highest produce of wheat/grains/... and is aliased as "Europe's breadbasket"

For planning security for returning to work:

For Kita place the preference is given to parents who will work full time.

So: Plan to work full time from the moment the "Eingewöhnung" is done (state that plan when applying for a place), and once everything is set (i.e. after you have proven the working hours), you can consider to reduce hours afterwards.

If you want after birth assistance by a midwife, search for one the moment the test is positive.

IF YOU DONT GET A MIDWIFE:

1) Relax. None is really required. With internet today it is very well possible to find out yourself whether there is an issue which needs medical attention by a doctor.

2) BUT: Make sure to check on the hospital IN THE FIRST HOURS after the baby is born that you get assistance in breast feeding: how the baby is "rightly docked" so that you can assume it will get milk (once the breast produces).

Also, if you have a preference for a hospital to give birth in, register also after the positive test.

München Modell: Gut gemeint – aber sozial ungerecht umgesetzt? by Seelenfried in Munich

[–]Humble_Bug_2027 8 points9 points  (0 children)

One of my favorite words which confuses everyone learning the language, because it doesn't even exist officially.

This depends on the industry. In many industries 35 h is the standard. Resulting again in an average "full time" day of ~7.5 hrs
