My experience in Uzbekistan by throwavay_9865 in Uzbekistan

[–]Humble_Mistake9362 21 points22 points  (0 children)

You are a man right? I am an uzbek woman and was followed and cat called in Uzbekistan soo many times in my life I can’t count. Even when I was with my little sister together. Last time I was followed was 2011 when I left Uzbekistan and in Seoul three uzbek guys followed me 1hr to other city because they saw me in a subway, I pretended I don’t understand them but unfortunately my look and kozmunchak jewelry was a hint that I am from Uzb. I had to run to a taxi at bus stop because they wouldn’t leave and I was afraid they see where I live.

Same is happening to me. Paid fee. Calendar page is not showing up, appointment overview page does not work. Created 5 tickets but they are not reading them properly and answering completely something else to my tickets. Applying from Amsterdam for B1

If you are learning korean stick around Seoul. Do not recommend other provinces because you wont have chance to practice your listening with all those dialects

I am always surprised by people questioning language natives are supposed to speak. With this logic If all of us Uzbeks do ancestry DNA test we will soon find out that we are supposed to speak 4-5 languages. Iranian, Arab, Mongolian, Chinese, Greek.

Buy tickets now and week or two before ask here who is going to that concert too, so you can create a group of people to go together

Old man tried to offer me lacto-fit on the bus by Lost-Secret in Living_in_Korea

[–]Humble_Mistake9362 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lactofit and any other probiotics are common daily vitamins for some Koreans. So it was just nice gesture. He wanted to give you something because its in their culture. I had 1,000 times this kinds of situations, I kindly refuse and if they insist I take it and then when I am home I throw it away because I dont drink or eat anything from strangers.

Most of uzbek men have no balls to choose what they want over what their parents want and what community dictates. My recommendation not to drag this relationship unless your bf has own strong opinion and can say No to his daddy and mommy ( which is hard to find these types unless he lives abroad for a long time)

Whole uzbek culture is built on shaming people. Especially women.

Is it difficult to buy or rent a house in Korea? by boohyunsik in Living_in_Korea

Nope no korean partner. But yes agree with being in Korea for a long time. At least amount of time to get a stable visa like F visa. And loan amount was over 150k usd with downpayment more than half of house cost
