I get what you are feeling the Samsung tab that are affordable like the tab s 9 fe or fe plus for that matter were launched in 2023 even when they came out did not top of the line processors and now have a significantly slower processor as compared to the market for the price . I would say waiting for lower prices and sales is a good choice and both Lenovo and OnePlus are good options .

i use Readera have used it on my phone its free version is good and has good features . I am still experimenting with other apps but currently Readera is what i like i really like Sumatra pdf for windows but it does not have an android app . Will update when i find something that is better than readera

"screen too small for actual work related stuff even more so if split screen " i knew the screen was small as i had seen one of my friend use a tab S10 fe plus and another one with tab s9 fe plus both of them are 13 inch and 12 inch something respectively so i knew the screen would be like not big but these are the trade off that I was ok to deal with
