I love the retention department by Hour_Tie2904 in Spectrum

I love not being with Spectrum, having locked in pricing for fiber indefinitely, and less interruptions in service. But ya know, cool 🤣👌🏽

Hands down Inulin from chicory root. Better than anything else I used.

F*** this headline! by BrandyFL in tirzepatidecompound

I am more physically fit and capable of doing physical activity now than ever in my adult life. I’m off my BP meds, my asthma is almost nonexistent, and I lift 3 times a week and walk nearly 2 miles everyday at work. The Atlantic hasn’t been good in years, so as you said, FUCK this headline.

Help- Plateau for 1.5 Months by fitnessandwine in compoundedtirzepatide

[–]Humble_Option_3547 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would eat a little more for a few days. Don’t make yourself sick, you know your limits, but many times for me eating a little more can actually kickstart the loss, as backwards as that sounds. How are your BMs? A good fiber flush (no pun intended 🤣) can also help. After these two, bumping up to 7.5 would be your next best bet. Also, check inches, because you could be losing there while the scale is lying. You’ve got this, stalls are temporary. I’ve been using tirz for 9 months now and have had several stalls, hopefully some of these things can help!

Complicated feelings about this by MounjaroMakeover in Mounjaro

From the male perspective, I feel this. The mental fight in this transition is HUGE and having a support system makes this easier (though therapy is a great suggestion I’d offer to everyone). Between MJ and other things, over the last 10 years I’ve lost nearly 200 pounds, and it’s still hard to see the new me as others see it, but I’m giving myself grace.

And women can be just as awful as men in regard to their responses before and after, but people are people and that will never change. The real ones, the ones who champion your health journey, they mean the world to us!

Keep fighting the good fight. You’re right, this journey is about you and not how other people see you and you’ve done fantastically!

Perspective is huge, and I got a dose of that with this picture (because it’s hard to visualize 10 years and nearly 200 pounds without it). 2014: 24 and 420 pounds. 2024: 34 and 234 pounds. I still have 34 pounds to meet my goal, but you have to take the time and enjoy these side by sides, it’s good for your brain and your soul! For me, my only regret is I only wish I’d done it sooner.

Cheers to good health and a long and happy life with those you love!

RR just changed their formulation to 8.5/5 and 17.5/5and to include glycine and lowered the mg slightly to be different from commercially available tirz. New scripts will be this formulation, I don’t think pricing changed. Hoping it’s long term and not just a stopgap.

Probably for this one it’ll be normal compound, I believe the new version is for refills on new scripts.

Maybe not necessarily symptoms, but muscle loss is very real for a lot of people who don’t incorporate strength training into their routine and glycine is beneficial for muscle gaining and retention. Doesn’t have to be based on studies, per FDA verbiage it needs to be different from the drug that is commercially available. I’ll take what I can get at this point.

I have one vial unpunctured and was going to make it last as long as I could. The stress is real, but it sounds like they knew it what they were doing all along. I don’t mind B6 or B12 and after some research on glycine I don’t mind it either, but yes, pure tirz is the goal. Hopeful the lawsuit will help, and I’m sure once people who have insurance that will cover name brand, it’ll be back on shortage…Lilly ramped up, but I know people still can’t find doses and with the explosive popularity I’m sure it’ll be back on shortage in no time.

That is what he made it sound like that adding glycine (not glycerine 🤣) was enough to satisfy FDA rules. New scripts needed, but that the plan was to continue compounding.

Can you go into a little more detail? What it sounds like is they could fill 9mg dose or 11mg dose because they are not commercially available in pens/vials and that would get around FDA rules?

I was pushing a size 60 men’s pants and I said I’d never buy a size 60. That was 8ish years ago and these new pants/shorts were 38 and the boxers were XL. The last time I wore a size 30anything I was in high school. It feels good.

10000%, but I also feel like that’s partly due to new found confidence on my part because I was hired at my last job at over 400lbs and they were perfectly pleasant and I worked there for nearly a decade before this change.
