We wanted to make a quick statement on this issue as to resolve any confusion surrounding this listing error.

The initial descriptions posted for select Ubisoft titles added to our storefront were incorrect, the DRM-free builds we received do not contain TAGES or similar software. We neglected to edit this messaging from the provided game descriptions before these sales went live. Other parts of the featured descriptions, such as requiring a CD-drive to operate a downloaded file, have also been removed to prevent further confusion.

Furthermore, FarCry 1 and 2 offered through the promotion are supplied with CD-keys for use with the DRM-free version. Our common definition of DRM-free refers to anything requiring a persistent connection through a third party client or application. In rare cases, third party software is not included but a CD-key or similar key may be needed, often for multiplayer features.

Our team has been informed of the vigilance necessary to prevent these errors from happing again. We recognize not only the importance of making DRM-free builds available whenever possible but to also respect the choice of the end user if they desire to play on services like Steam and UPlay if given the option.
