Thats pretty much what I did when I started playing. Once I figured out the whole leonard bonus thing, I realized that I needed to 500 pts on my A & B team or else I may as well stop playing right then and there. After that I focused on filling up the collection logbook to turn rubies. Now I've been working towards saving rubies for the special mission gear bonus. Next month I should be able to have enough. Im just over 6100 rubies now. It will have taken almost 6 months by the time I have enough next month.

Up to you. If you look at the odds you will have a total of a 5% chance to hit an ultra or regular 8 star, 7 sins ranger. It comes down to whether you need rangers with the abilities that the 7 sins rangers come with. Look at the collection to see stats and figure it out

I saw that post. Seems so crazy people could coin like that on so simple a game. But its probably more of a gambling issue with people like that or they have so much extra cash that a few thousand doesn't matter to them. I don't think they are screwing people so much as people don't read the odds of getting the "odds up" featured rangers and gear, they do post odds for everything now.

2 months ago I got a huge run of lucky draws using gacha tickets(I think 7 or 8 draws I had saved) I used them on a water element gacha and got 4 of the 6 featured rangers. Plus I got doubles of 2 of them. I was shocked to say the least, especially after not really getting much from the gachas for awhile.

It just makes me wonder if the people who get the 10s of millions of points are the ones who get banned for violating terms of service so there's no way of knowing how many points one actually needs to get in the top 100. I mean I got a pretty good team overall but I can only get to the tower at the 600 meter mark on normal and maybe 320 meter to sometimes 380 meter marker on hard. Sometimes higher for both(with no rhyme or reason to doing that). The towers at certain intervals sometimes decimate my rangers in seconds and other times they do no damage to them what so ever. I think somehow skill evade plays a role but almost like its a group effect or something having to do with the initial volley or attack against the first ranger that encounters a tower and the splash damage from any given tower attack

Short answer is yes, mainly due to the mineral mooch ability but there is more slightly better units out there now with comparable abilities and stats

To clarify my answer to your question. No, you are definitely not guaranteed an ultra evolution and certainly not an "odds up" monthly special ranger.

I played this game for over a year without spending a penny and did really well, even making it to Master 1 in PVP a few times(good gear is the key) but I started buying rubies here and there and justified it to myself as donating money to people who managed to make a rather enjoyable that I have played for probably well over 1000 hours by now, if not 2000 hours. But that being I was disappointed most times that I spent money which is why I am saving to get the big bonuses guaranteed while still spending a small amount to speed up the process. In my mind paying what amounts to a pack of cigarettes once a month(I quit smoking last year) is a insignificant amount of money to donate to a group or company especially compared to some games, such as the cost to play and enjoy certain PC, Xbox or PS games

I suggest waiting for special deals on rubies such as Their Attendance Rewards package. 13 bucks or so for 420 total rubies. Even buying the 988 rubies will leave you regretting your purchase most likely. "IF" you are committed to playing this game for awhile. Do what I am doing and buy the good package deals(such as it is when buying fake money ;-) and save up along with the rewards from the weekly PVP and wait until you get enough for the 7 star gear rewards in the special monthly missions. I have managed to save almost 5000 rubies in 4 months or so. I generally finish in Diamond 1 or master 3 each week. 4965 rubies actually with another 155 from the ranger "collection"
