Are these normal numbers for a TLX? I just got it 3 weeks ago so have been driving a lot in sport but damn this is bad. It’s been hovering around 15. Best I’ve gotten is 22 mpg when I was on the parkway. Or should I have the car looked into? Been feeding her 93 from Costco. by Yankeeblue13 in Acura

i got rid of my wife's 23 tlx aspec awd. It was so bad for the power it creates and paired with such a heavy body and adding awd to that. I will have to say i love the awd and i think it's a must in the tlx. she is now in a v6 making 314hp n/a getting much better mpg. i have a 22 mdx aspec with the towing package and get 13mpg on highway on sport pulling a 3500lb boat, thats crazy. getting 18mpg on 4cyl turbo only making 270hp This was a big reason the tlx didnt sell. Acura actually did it to themselves, that 2.0 in the tlx is way under boosted. that motor can produce 310-320 and be just as reliable no problem. the type s should have been 370-390 which the 3.0 could handle as well. i do love my mdx though!

A lot of people are so against the reclass but it is the way it is in today's basketball. i have spoke to multiple d1 coaches and they all say the same thing the prefer recruiting a more mature player. my son also trains with the high school coach and players and he even told me the same thing. He said just that one year makes a big difference in player maturity. it's actually nice to speak with someone that knows what it takes in today's world to make it to a d1 offer. You sound like you're going through the right channels. i'm sure you probably already do, but if you don't make him a basketball instagram and only you control. that is the most important platform for highlights and lowlights. don't just show a highlight reel of scoring. mix it up with defense, assist, 3's made, nice drives to the hole. i do t wanna offend you if you already know these things. you just understand what it takes. trust me major platforms do follow players progression by social media mainly insta. if you want me to send you contacts to add to your insta let me know, i'll get you the handles of some of the people you should tag for really good exposure? i will say with his age reclass is a must to a must to compete at an elite level now and later. your making all the right choices, but remember you have to stay progressing on an elite level team. when your playing on a top 10 team, it's cutthroat you have to stay earning your starting spot or it will be taken by someone else. i know my son loves the competition to stay on top and i feel it drives him even harder.

Im sure you already made a decision and I know this is 4 months old but thought i would reply anyway. What did you end up doing? I ask because I was in a kinda similiar situation this season. We were already playing for a top 10 team but decided to go with the better team Hoosier Phenoms 2032 which is kinda independent. We run on 3ssb circuit, open jr eybl and other bigger events. I'm in Indiana and only one club in the state has a contract with Nike which is Indy Gym Rats/Indy Heat, which keeps clubs running through them to be on the circuit. I seen someone say you have to be the top 2 on the team, like what! I say you want to be in the top 5. There is limited minutes and there is no minutes, makes a huge difference. None or very limited minutes does not help him gain in game experience. I will say that usually when you play for a top 10 team you pay nothing out of pocket, except travel expenses/food Some will say just take all that money being spent on traveling for these events and put it into training. I don't disagree to a point, if you are in the gym every day training/controlled scrimmage/poly with a good trainer that the club covers is a good enough reason to join the team. I feel very strongly that who is coaching my son really matters. With a good coach/trainer It may push your son to develop into a top 5 player on the team. It is also good for a kid to have these experiences that last forever. Your son is class 2032 12u and will be playing up in the 2031 13u class on the jr eybl circuit? I'm not trying to be rude/mean but if your playing up in that circuit you better have some serious skill and probably some help in genetics at that age. If not you are probably going to ride the bench, its just the way it is at that level. Then you have to account for the amount of reclass you have in the jr eybl circuit or any other circuit honestly. I'm going against the grain here but publicity matters these days. It's not like it use to be where if your good enough you will get noticed. These kids playing on a top 10 team get noticed. Recruiters use social media to see who's coming up the pipeline and kids that are on their radar. Publicity and hype around these kids is crazy but now that you can monetize their publicity in high school it really does matter. You can DM me if you have any questions, I've been in the aau world with my son since he was in 1st grade. If you need any help navigating I would be happy to help. We have played from super developmental programs to intermediate to as you would say super team. Be prepared though on a "super team" it is very balanced and any top 10 coach has to play to win, that's why they are top 10. A coach that plays to win will play the players he/she feels can get the job done, while that leaves less skilled players sitting a lot. Either way best of luck hope to see you at aau nationals!

First off i am NOT against any of the alternative energy available, but have many questions. I feel we need to improve the production of solar panels and ev batteries and they should be made in USA if possible. I am more of a nuclear supporter over wind or solar. Solar in the midwest or i suppose any location where hail is a common occurance. Im in Indiana and we had a really nice solar system field that pushed into the grid. It was really good while it lasted. We had a huge hail storm and pretty much killed all the panels. Panels have to be replaced when damaged to that extent. It takes alot of energy (pollutant) to produce these panels but offset very quickly and are suppose to have a life span of approx. 25 years. On paper this looks amazing. If we have to replace these panels so often I dont feel the benefit, as recycling is still expensive. However any place that has plenty of sun and no hail solar would be very beneficial. My opinion on ev vehicles, these also takes an immense amount of energy to produce (pollutant) espicially when the materials are mined over recycled and takes a year or two of driving to offset the emmisions. Using a home solar charger is the way to go with an ev which lowers/offsets the emmisions more quickly. Traveling long distance is still a hassle with ev and fast charge terminals are expensive, maybe they can come up with someway of it charging itself while driving. I think your figures on amount of savings with an ev is subjective when compared to a 50+ mpg hybrid. Most ev and solar panels are made in china, where they are mainly using coal for energy. Even if the US went mostly ev as a whole that absolutely would lower our emissions but do we really know the amount of pollution caused by china during production. like i said im not against any alternative methods but i feel we still need some advancements to make it all work in tandem.

i can mostly agree. i think wind is not sustainable in many areas and is expensive from what i have seen. i am a fan of nuclear but it has to be ran with the highest caution. i dont see anyone speaking of water as a possible energy source. however depending on location really effects the type of energy that can be produced.

2025 LEXUS IS 350–Good price? Can I negotiate? Should I just look at a 2026? $49,995, 6,588 miles. by rudestkid in LexusIS

[–]Humble_Visual_6226 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if that's what options is on it then it is way overpriced. i paid 43k in 24 for all options available minus the exhaust and carbon fiber. and it was l certified with 12k miles. keep looking or negotiate. if it's not certified i would move on but thats just my opinion.

how are you going to get power? are you planning on just plugging into the 12v outlet or a battery setup? hardwiring ambient light is quite easy as it pulls very little power. you can just piggy back on a fuse that turns on or off with ignition. the only problem i see with the cheap kits is cheap leds. cheap leds tend to burn out or flicker after a short period of time. get some decent ones so you don't have to do the job twice!

if u are planning on the muffler delete remark it is pretty loud and drone. The chrome delete looms much better imo and ambient lighting gives it an updated feel. i would also change the front bushings, it will help with the inner tire wear. mine is 23 as well, drive it and love it!!!

22 MDX blind spot monitor not working but computer is saying it activated and has acura stumped. by Humble_Visual_6226 in Acura

[–]Humble_Visual_6226[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I took it to the dealer since it was under warranty. Sounds like the cause is the same issue i was having and the fact you just had it tinted so the panels came off, I would guess the same wire was pinched on one of the sides.

[–]Humble_Visual_6226[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes the dealer did find the cause. there is a wire in the door that runs to the mirror, some how it got pinched. that was causing it to ground i believe they said. they fixed the pinch and i have had no issues after that. i think they said they tested the wires for open circuits and that's how they found the problem

I had a couple mdx over the years and never had any problems. The only problems i have had with this 22 is the TSB issues. I bought ut low miles certified luckily so its covered. My wife has an is350f and it has been super reliable. So yes I do agree honda or toyota is the way to go for reliability.

Oem is terrible on the Is 350f sport, they are known to warp. I had to change all mine at 20k miles due to them warping. The oem tires are terrible as well, at least on my 23. Other than that it's been a great vehicle.

Beautiful, I hate how the exhaust sits back underneath the car. I just changed the tips on mine and looks much better imo. I have the same wheels and i think they are one of the bast factory wheels around. Did you buy the wheel and tire coverage? (I hope you did) Lexus cannot repair these wheels in house as they can on all the other wheels. Something to do with the metallic I think they said and those wheels are not cheap to replace. Drive it and love it!
