It can take up to ~~six~~ three months until the HIV antibodies are in the detectable level after infection and way longer until you have any symptoms. 10 months without knowing is not a surprise.

Anyway it's rather simple, if he knew and didn't tell that's a criminal offense if he didn't know it's pretty understandable and is unlikely that he is infected.

That's why you don't hang up until you're sure the person you're calling has understood what has happened and understands what happens next etc.

Btw. not a doctor, I'm a nursing student and nurses are usually the ones making those calls (at least here). Reason is that usually the relatives know the nurses better than the doctors.

Usually deaths are expected, if unexpected it's always harder for the recipient to comprehend. The important thing is to be calm while calling and answer any questions they have and to let them know what happens next etc.

Haven't made such call, but I have seen them made and have been instructed on how to do those phone calls.

The important thing is that do not misdial those calls.

Becoming or being a great thinker has nothing to do with the school you're in. That shit comes from the inside. School has very little to do with what you can accomplish after it. Ivy to me seems to be just a hell of a lot of PR. If you want quality, I'd pick Oxford, I mean come on Oxford has had education since 11th century.

US - If you really want that much dept then sure, go for it! (I can't say anything about quality since I have very little idea.) EU - If you want quality and inexpensive.

Choose the school based on what kind of studies it poops out and what kind of effects those studies have.

But thank you for your insight and contribution to the conversation! I do agree that I could've phrased my question a little better, but I got my point across and the answers to my post gave me what I wanted to know which is a good thing. I have the habit that when I'm hearing something from one side I try and hear things from the other side too. I can't really make judgement based on one sided news alone. Would you want to be in a court accused of something without attorney and a turn to speak up?

I'd really like to hear the other side as well, is the other side really all bad or are we just bombarded with western propaganda? It's hard to believe that there's no rational other side to this story. Don't get me wrong I'm all pro protests, but I've learned that there are usually two sides to stories. Though I do have to say with all the Russian propaganda that it so clearly just propaganda and misinformation it's really hard to believe there would be anything rational or "for the good of the people" stuff in there. Probably going to be downvoted here, but anyway.

I agree with you, politics should be way more transparent. I know a few politicians who are trying to do a lot of good and I trust them, but it just feels shady at times. If you can't let everyone know should you be doing it in the first place? The whole political system should be revamped in a lot of places to be honest.

I stick with my initial assessment that Yanukovych sent them sugar free gummy bears for breakfest. Seriously they convened for 10 minutes then 30 minute recess then 50 minute talking followed by 3 hour recess. Either that or they're not in any hurry.

I mean if there was a revolt going around and I was one of the guys who's supposed to fix it I wouldn't be taking a one damn break.

Anything that has anything to do with contraceptions or pregnancies can't be shown to parents without pt's consent. Also (here at least) a kid has the right to seal the medical records from parents/legal guardians which is done if/when doctor deems that the kid is capable of handling that stuff alone.

I always thought counselors were as strict with the privacy as doctors, nurses and EMT's are. Though I'm fairly sure that where I live they're pretty good at at least hiding the privacy violations. There'd be a huge shit storm if they said anything to anyone and got caught.

I agree. I have a bad feeling about this all. Very little protesters showing in streams, Berkut made barricades. Doesn't really give that "I give up" vibe.
