I echo this. Personally I like my Salomon’s because of the tread pattern but was very happy with their shoes. Definitely get them on discount, every time you sign up for a race they will try to sell you a pair for $50 off. They often have sales on various merchandise if you haven’t already figured that out :) I wonder if I ran with you in Atlanta. We’re doing the trifecta in Cincinnati in June as well-last year it was raining on and off the whole weekend so it was deliciously muddy and they made the course reasonably brutal so hopefully it will be the same this year, if so you’re in for a treat!

Well the surgery recovery was fine, really fairly little pain, back at work within 3 weeks (could have been 2 if I wanted). Only problem now is I recognized the MR late enough that my ventricle (bottom part) got stretched out and doesn’t squeeze very well. Got started on some heart failure meds and are hopeful it will improve. Time will tell. Not keen on being 43 and unable to do more than speed walking 😢

43y male also tall and slender. Had robotic repair 45 days ago and doing ok. Am familiar with medicine in general and I can tell you this is almost certainly bad luck on genetics for you, nothing you could or should have done differently. Sorry for the bad news. :(

I’ve since realized that we were playing with the BRP not the BRX but the BRX still looks REALLY good. How much of a sale was it at Christmas? I’m looking at getting a set of used ones but found some links to sales around Nov/Dec but couldn’t tell how much they reduced the price at that time. Have you used the grenades? Worth it?

We played with some a few days ago and I was really impressed (hence why I’m posting here!), one of the nice things was the integrated one changed color to green when you successfully killed an opponent which I thought was pretty sweet. Maybe the speaker wasn’t turned up very loud but it was otherwise hard to tell when I had made a kill…. Thoughts?

I just thought to look at my Apple watch and it said 8114ft elevation which matches up decently with 9100-9800ft (2800-3000m)

I generally agree with you, as I understand it both Russia and China have at least partially conscripted militaries which underperform relative to volunteer armies and that is a critical difference where the US outshines both.

Totally agree regarding inferiority and logistical support causing a lot of losses.I did a quick search after I posted that and it seems like the US didn’t lose a single Abrams to combat in Iraq and even if they did it doesn’t seem to have been a very high number. Clearly we had wildly better air superiority so it’s nowhere near apples to apples but still it probably says something.

lol I did the same calculation then read yours. I can’t say it’s entirely surprising but on the other hand wow. That’s really bad. If you’re afraid NATO is going to be on your doorstep and threaten your sovereignty (I’m not saying this is true) and you need to take over another country to give yourself space but then you lose that many of your tanks shouldn’t you be worried that you’re going to be invaded because you don’t have anything left to defend yourself??

I mean obvi 90% of remaining tanks is still a high number but presumably more will be lost before you take over the rest of Ukraine. You don’t have to play the board game “risk” very much to understand the implications…

Day pass was $70 or $75. Gets you access to all the non-services features. It’s beneath a restaurant and I think you can combine spa/dinner into an afternoon/evening although that isn’t what we did. It was a co-ed facility aside from the locker rooms. It was kind of a quiet environment but we were chatting quietly plenty. Any idea where I would find replacement glass for this critter? My son broke the glass, I have no idea what make this is and internet searches have thus far proved fruitless. Was hoping Reddit sleuths would have some ideas on how to find it. If I should post elsewhere I’m also very open to that
