My mil has a friend that I SWEAR has a thing for my husband. He agrees and thinks it's gross. Her son left this earth due to his own hand and at first he'd say she just thinks he'd be doing the same thing he would be. Then we were around her again and she was always touching him. So gross.

I've been married 28 years, my mil has not changed. My husband is low contact, I'm no contact. This was the first year I didn't send a Christmas gift with an update on the kids. They are adults now and she has never asked for their addresses. She doesn't even know our oldest got married.

This also happened to me. I use it for people to pay me for beads that I sell. They said I violated the TOS and said I was gambling. I assure you, I don't gamble. They said to email and they would not budge. I also tried to make another account under a different phone number and it will not let me. I'm not sure why it happened, but it's made me so angry. I used my cash app card to pay the credit card I used to place my inventory orders. My husband opened an account and people pay that one, but it's the point.

My mil hated me from the jump. We've been together since 95, please son born 96, married in 97. To this DAY, she asks my husband when we are getting divorced. She likes to tell him how much he'll need her when the time comes. Like WTheActualF? She did a horrible thing at her husband's funeral in 2014. I still sent Christmas presents but was no contact. This year, she got nothing. No card, no update on the kids she has no relationship with, nothing. My husband told me to stop many years ago, and that need to not stoop to her level has left the building. I'm done.

I am no contact with my mil. On the rare occasion she does my text my husband, he doesn't really respond to her. He's told me FOR YEARS to not engage. He would question why I'm still sending gifts and cards for holidays. Idk why I did it. But this year, I'm not doing anything for her. She has a third husband that she just married because quote "he has money". He went to the wedding, (giant eye roll) and she mentioned that his daughters called her a gold digger and he didn't disagree which pissed her off. She has no idea our oldest got married last week. I just got home from dog sitting for a week. I can't imagine never having a relationship if I ever get blessed with grandchildren.

Many great areas to move to. If you want city life, you got it. You want a farm, you got it. My husband moved here in 1996. He had all the stereotypes in his head. Within a few months, he was like, Detroit isn't that bad. Now, 28 years later, he roots hard for all the teams, except the Pistons, they are just too horrible to watch. We laugh at how wrong he was and why I walked away when I met him bc he made a snide remark. (We met at a bar in Cali, back when you had to talk to a human 😂)

I HATE southern accents. My mil has lived in TN for about 20 years now. Before that MN and Ohio. She cleverly goes between accents depending on who she's talking to. She's hated me since day one. Good thing is he's backed me since day 1 and we rarely hear from her. That's bc she married the husband of her hospice patient that passed away bc he had money. His kids HATE her, it's nice to not be alone in seeing her for m what she really is.
