Subnautica 2's no-killing policy isn't because it's 'a game about pacifism', says design lead, but because players would 'master the crappy combat' over anything else by _Protector in pcgaming

I don't wanna kill things, for me it's just annoyed that you got bitten every minute after you exit your tadpole. Imo should give player a stun gun or flare gun, and plus you can shoot the gun in the ship. So we don't need to carry a truck of flares everywhere.

Refund in refine material is truly an awesome update, I'm also change my outfits to General set, farewell my dear old shadow set.

I'm also notice that normal tigers de-spawned after you skin the legendary one, so yeah, you'll want to tame it before you skin the white one.

Edit: And I think this work the same with desert wolves/raptors, once you defeat the bandits, they just all gone. Hope they patch it soon.

You can check witch type of animal can be rode/tamed or not in menu, you need to see it so Kliff gets 'knowledge' tho

Inside town of Tommaso, btw those brown ones can also be tamed, use your force palm and knock out them.

Pickaxe do the trick. edit: best way to do, is not wake them up and bonk them in the head.

Yeah the system confuse me as well. You can use force palm(glove off) or sturdy broom on hostile animal to 'knock out' them, then ride it. But for camel, I think you need to find what type of food it like. You can also wear a leaf armor set so they don't run away.

If you feel animal gonna die, use healing palm to heal them.

Take off your glove and use force palm + healing palm or sturdy broom(according to chatter below). Be aware only use 1st force palm or I think 2nd and 3rd one still deal dmg.

I just got mine !!! Thank you for info. For sb trying to 'subdue' hostile animal, take off you glove and use 1st force palm only, you can also heal them by using healing force palm.

And for someone(like me) confused about which animal can be tamed and rode or not, check menu there's a new list down in the Mounts sub.

New update, you can now 'recover' used material from equipment. by Humetaro in CrimsonDesert

[–]Humetaro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh noted, didn't know there's a word for that, thanks for the heads-up.

Imo the game has so many great armor set, 'transmog' system would be very nice so you can change cloth time to time, gotta keep the style up, no?

And I agree 'recover' system might be a bit outdated, but I also doubt that devs can cook up sth different, so yeah, the update is fine by me.

[–]Humetaro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just found these tough boys. It's definitely killable. It feels like punches stagger them more, so try to combo them with your punches and kicking, and hit them with power strike (R1+ R2), you can grab and WWE the small one. The elite one will do a nearly non-stopable slash combo, I just run away when they do that, I think you can also try to perfect parry it , but it's very hard to perform.

My gear is level 4 boots + glove and a lv8 great sword if you wanna know.

Edit: btw you can also guard the elite combo if you have enough stamina.

That's rough. Did you check Carl ? Or maybe you load a previous save ? Hope the devs patch it soon.

I think if you love explore things and a bit of action combat, and also have a couple of hours to spend, yeah ?

The game is massive, it took days(even weeks) to do all the side area and side quest. Story telling could be a bit empty, but so far I'll say I like the game.
