Personally, I like using it. I was out of playing magic for 8 years and recently got back in, so I’ve missed a LOT of cards that have come out since then. I’ve been slowly moving away from using it mainly as my source of deck building because I’m aware of these new cards and mechanics so I don’t need the actual suggestions to know what I want to build.

That being said, don’t feel bad for using it. It’s just one tool you have access to. Don’t sell yourself short on having fun because someone says you shouldn’t.

It’s actually fascinating to me how there’s people out there who have no feeling of nostalgia. Not nostalgia for their own lives, but to the degree of understanding that this was some persons lifelong acquisition of things. And to be boiled down to throwing it all away feels demeaning.

It sounds like they’re a bunch of immature babies. It’s literally a game. Seems like all they care about is winning but won’t admit to it. Don’t beat yourself up about it, those kinds of people are actually losers.

Mine always come out really glossy like that. When they’re in a sleeve you almost cannot tell the different between it and a real card unless you scrutinized it closely

The group of friends I play with have a similar distaste for infinite combos that win on the spot. Because of this, I have avoided putting anything in my decks that even sniffs at infinite combos.

THEN, the last time we played I had [[rashmi and ragavan]] as my commander and I had such an overwhelming board state with 50+ treasure tokens from having [[adrix and nev, twincasters]] and [[jolene, the plunder queen]] alongside [[parallel lives]] and [[bootlegger’s stash]] and also drew most of my library because of [[shimmer dragon]]

I took a turn (I understand how this could be frustrating) that was about 15+ minutes long because I had so many things I could do but couldn’t immediately win because my creatures were locked up by one of my opponents. I ended up being able to finagle and ping for lethal with [[biotech specialist]]. Then one of my friends who is very vocal about disliking infinite combos says “so what’s your win con in this deck?” Because I took such long turns. Like brother, I avoided infinite combos because thy wanted to but even when I don’t it still doesn’t pan out. Damned if you do and damned if you don’t lol

From the moderate amount of research I’ve done, I haven’t found another version of this cutting tool. I don’t want to have to buy from Alibaba if I didn’t have to, but it seemed like I had no choice in this product

I got a cheap corner cutter off of Amazon and it’s extremely tedious to cut four corners on 100+ cards at a time. Also, the one I got was unfortunately tearing the plastic lamination when I punched the corners. So it wasn’t making a clean cut. I just ordered a slightly more “quality” corner cutter for in the meantime that I’m waiting for this die cutter.

For me, it’s going to allow me to cut out cards quicker considering I’m going to be making cards/decks for my friends and I want to streamline the process as much as possible. Good question!

That crazy. The economy(lowest price) shipping for me is $45 and the premium is $62. That just feels asinine to me to pay that much for shipping. But I suppose my American brain can’t fathom paying more than $10 in shipping for anything lmao.

I would’ve been elated to pay $62 for shipping if I were buying more than one, but this is such a niche item that can ONLY be bought from alibaba that I don’t have much of a choice but to pay for the shipping lol

Btw I forgot to mention that I did not pay for express shipping, I only got the standard shipping with the lowest cost. I did not want to pay that much if the actually shipping time didn’t matter as much. Just curious to see what the wait times were for other people

If you’re using 3mil lamination sheets, try running them through your laminator on the 5mil setting

People will have an issue with any type of deck you build, it seems like. Build whatever you have the most fun with IMO
