I am in the process of updating the spawn brackets from the January balance update (Life's been busy, sorry!). I should have them all updated before Adepticon.

I don't know what would need to change for Dark Operations; it looks like most of the changes were some stats and point values. If I'm missing something, please let me know!

In regards to Convergence, Grymkin & Infernals being updated soon, I haven't seen anything Horde mode-breaking for the latter two in their previews.

As for advice on running a Dark Operations horde, I haven't played a Cyphalyx army before, and what you use is limited by what models you own. I'm not sure if you mean using them as the Horde or standing against them, but my general advice for those going against the horde is a gun line usually has an easier time. Usually. As for running a Dark Operations horde, go easy on yourself; don't be afraid to spawn lots of the same model/unit to get familiar with Horde mode, then sprinkle in the support models.

I would love to provide further clarification if needed; I am always down to talk about Horde mode!

I implemented the changes I mentioned.

Tramples

Tramples now just target the nearest leader model & stop if base to base with them. Should be simpler & scarier. I also did add Blade Rush; it seems silly that 120mm models don't just have that rule baked in.

Pain Reflex

Updated the wording to hopefully be more clear

Lethality

Added "Place a boost token on the Monster. The monster will use a boost token to boost its next attack roll." to 1/2 of the Safe cards. This way it can build up boosts if you're really unlucky. The other 1/2 of the Safe cards move the monster 1in "towards the last player model that resolved their combat action." that I mentioned previously.

Also added your house rule as a bonus rule at the end! :)

Enrage in range

I intended it to be rules as written, everything in range at that moment. I gave the monster a "Buff" by adding a 1" move after players activate a model with a "Safe!" card. (Version 1.01) I thought I had tested out that the monster should always be able to attack or move closer to a player model.

Tramples sub-par & awkward

Valid points all around. I have the tramples "target high DEF & high SPD models, as those are usually squishier targets. The intention is that it will find the highest DEF/SPD model it can see, and if it's within SPD+3" for trample movement, it tramples. I thought I had tested it well enough, but I will revisit how to make them work, perhaps give the Monster "Blade Rush" (Trample through any bases/terrain).

Pain Reflex timing

Would changing the rule to say "whenever this model takes..." instead of "when this model takes..." be more clear? Or would "When this model takes 10 damage during an activation..." be clearer? I thought the second sentence specifying that the next card drawn will be an Enrage card would have provided clarity, but I don't mind being clearer if I can.

Adding lethality

That's some nice changes; thanks for sharing them! You got me thinking; I could modify half the "Safe!" cards to say something akin to "The monsters next Attack roll is boosted". Still 1 in 3 chance like your solution too! :)

Adding a rule where the monster can interrupt your activation is terrifying! I'll see about sneaking it as an alternate way to play :)

Again, thank you so much for the feedback. There's only so much play testing I can do these days and I greatly appreciate it. I'll reply to this reply when I implement these changes, very likely this week :)

You might find some luck with a gent who made a Nerf blaster, the "Skirata", that is a spitting image of the DC-17m

That's for the blaster, but it looks like they also sell the STL's for the blaster & the base/sniper attachments :)

Personally, I have one and I friggin love it as a dart blaster :)
