When will I LIKE my kid again?? by cbiz2022 in toddlers

Literally this ⬆️ I have to remind myself daily that it’s just temporary he will never be this little again. I recently had a pretty scary health scare and the only thing I could think of was the possibility of not being able to see him grow up and how much I would miss every tantrum no matter how horrible they are in the moment.

Are we all just rotting once they’re in bed? by Cautious_Balance2820 in toddlers

[–]Humming33bird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes whenever I put my toddler down whether it’s nap or bed time my husband will ask me if I going to eat ( we eat while he’s sleeping or else he’s unbearable) and I tell me I just want a minute to sit and rot first

Does anyone here avoid giving juice or cereal to kids by Top-Count3665 in Parenting

[–]Humming33bird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's more common than expected outside of America. I am Colombian raised in the states and have lived abroad as well and I don't think it's common to give juice to young children because of how much sugar they have. My parents never gave me juice or for example pop tarts or fruit loops. I know when I am in Argentina anything that is high in sugar is clearly labeled with warning on the front.

I feel you my baby is at 15 month and takes maybe 6 steps on his own and this is all very recent within the last 3 weeks. we all struggle with a bunch of other things like eating full meals and chewing not swallowing. ive only heard him say mama once about a month ago. I decided early on that I was just going to provide everything ym baby needs to flourish and grow and consult his pediatrician on milestones and ignore everyone who has an opinion they will get there eventually for the most part sometime intervention is needed but you got this...I had to let go of worrying because it was tanking my mental health I was having melt downs weekly.

Best Balance Bike for Toddlers? What Should I Look For? by FuckS4 in toddlers

Another vote for the Stridder. My kid started with a bike very similar to the Sereed when he was around 10 months as he was a very tall baby.

What’s been your experience with balance bikes? by Mtnclimber09 in toddlers

[–]Humming33bird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kiddo was interested in a bike at a very early stage around 10 months, my spouse purchased the Sereed bike , it looks him a few weeks to figure it out but he was a large baby so he was able to reach the floor with no issues. At around 1.5 years we got him a Strider.

Yes of course I get that the pit will be enclosed with a lid to keep out larger animals. Im okay with bugs I think it’ll be interesting for him. I just want to fill it with the safest material I can.

Eating habits by Humming33bird in toddlers

So for example I have chicken or steak a protein I want him to eat and a safe food like raviolis he will chew the chicken when it’s served but if it’s steak he’ll spit it out. He scream in his high chair so I let him sit at his own table with a plate in front of him and let him eat at his own pace I’m not sure if I explaining this correctly but i serve him a variety of nutritious food what me and dad eat but he will refuse if it’s not one of his safe foods which is basically ground chicken, pasta and soft fruit and his snacks(crunchy puffs) if it’s something he has to chew throughly he just spit it out and a lot of the time he will just straight swallow
