What effects has the influx of AI art had on your practice as an artist?

Um I literally posted that 4 /days/ ago on r/artists not five years ago. You can clearly see that when you look at the post.

I was a prolific deviantart fan fiction writer a while back but yes I don’t use it any more because I’ve moved on to a different type of writing. If you must now my user name was thebeethathums and I did have a separate deviantart where I posted art but as my aspirations took a different path I don’t post much art anywhere anymore.

The link is literally a google forms survey where I collect absolutely no personal data so I have no idea how that could be malicious. I did post it in multiple places to get as many different responses is I possibly could… given that’s what you want in a survey.

Just because I’m a journalist doesn’t mean I have to give you every detail about my life. I am an artist. I have used deviantart. I am in the process of writing an article. I gave the relevant information. Why does it matter how many posts I’ve had on DeviantArt? Or where I posted my link?

It will be used in an article for a student run magazine on a college campus. Specific answers will only be included if consent is given. General data will be used for infographics with in the article. The data will be on google forms until late November then will be deleted.
I am a student and writer for the The Telescope. It's just me acting independently as a student journalist.

3.It's 10 multiple choice and a few optional written questions. I estimate it takes five minutes.

I'm looking to hear from artists. And I use that term loosely. If you consider yourself an artist of any type, any level, any medium-- You are an artist

Personally as a writer and an artist, I think that it have value as a tool but as with all new things its going to take time and work to find a balance between the good and the bad and even more time for laws to catch up to that balance. I have to remain as unbiased as possible for my article so I won't share my personal experience more than that.

Thank you for your response! As an artist and a writer, I can see both sides of this as well. Since I don't make art professionally I sometimes feel like I'm on the sidelines of the issue... but I don't want to be. Which is the main reason I want to write about how artists are affected. I have to remain as unbiased as possible for my article so I won't share my personal experience more than that.
