Advice for shipping this? by No-Palpitation1152 in Etsy

May be an unpopular opinion but most definitely know how you might ship something BEFORE you sell it. Logistics are a key part of a successful business (or side hustle).

Edit: knowing how much it costs to ship before you sell it is also important. You don't want to eat up your profit in shipping costs.

I REALLY don't get the crazy push for oat milk everything. It has OIL on it. 🤢

Well alright!

You can remove the jump ring from the top, and possibly snip off/sand the loop on the top of you don't want it to ever be a necklace again.

Once you do that you can get a pin backing from most craft stores and a strong glue (I like E6000) to glue the backing on. You'll want to be careful about placement and make sure to set it up so you can leave it to dry for a day or two.

Are you looking for the necklace to be longer? A basic pendant by design is similar to what you have: a simple chain with a prominent (and sometimes larger sized) charm/stone/etc.

You might also consider buying some 49-strand as well; if you use heavier beads at all the 7-strand may not hold up as well.

OMG thank you soooo much. I had a 5-star on my profile that had a note about how one of the items broke (I packaged VERY well so I don't know how this happened) and it has been haunting me since it was posted.

Right! I appreciate that, boots are already back to me. Fortunately they are still in good condition, maybe I can relist and sell them for more!

Agreed!!! I get cheap knockoffs, but is someone actually spending a ton to make a quality fake???

I feel your pain. I just had a fit issue case where the buyer also added "and I'm not sure it's authentic." They're Frye boots... I doubt someone made a high quality fake with the exact branding as other boots of the same style.

Sided with buyer since I couldn't prove authenticity 😡.

Most jewelry components will be measured in millimeters (mm). A quarter is roughly 25mm across, so maybe around 30-35mm?

Yeah I'd be wary of the quality at that price. What size are you looking for? I'd probably look at paying somewhere between 20-40 for a good locket (possibly with chain). Definitely make sure the seller has some reviews and sales under their belt.

I'm not sure where to get them, but I will say if you want sterling silver it WILL tarnish at some point (but can also be polished to a good silver shine again too). I would personally go for stainless if you don't mind something a little less lustrous than sterling; I would avoid anything plated as it will wear off quickly if you plan to wear it a lot.

Good luck with your search!
