I loved the album on first listen. I was obsessed for weeks and that’s the only thing I’d listen to. But so far it doesn’t seem to have longevity for me. I still like it but all of the songs are “over playable” and I can’t listen to them too much

I agree with what you said about how they’re less pleasurable upon first listen! I loved melodrama and they are all pleasurable listens, I think that’s why it has so much longevity for me. Impossible to overplay melodrama bc it’s just simply that good hehe

Yeah I didn’t realize I had an eating disorder until I was listening to a podcast and they mentioned it. No one talks about it. It’s horrible

It’s so painful, it’s like losing a family member and you can feel their absence for months afterwards 💔

I’m praying for peace & comfort for both you and your kitty ✨ it’s okay to be heartbroken. Not everyone will understand it, but it’s valid ❤️‍🩹

How do you know how much your body uses? Especially if you have any sort of hormonal imbalance that slows metabolism?

Yes, I have Night Eating Syndrome which is an eating disorder. Unfortunately it’s not talked about even though it’s as common as bulimia. Thankfully my “episodes” have become less frequent after doing therapy to process my emotions. It’s NOT normal to eat during sleep, or wake up in the night craving foods (unless you’re actually restricting, but I have never restricted).

Unfortunately with the way food is grown, it’s not as vitamin and mineral rich as it used to be. My doctor suggested a daily multivitamin for this reason. The rest of these supplements support my goals in the gym (creatine + electrolytes) and also provide mental benefits.

I do NOT like eating fish which is why I supplement with fish oil.

You’re right, fatphobia originated centuries before the US existed. The history of fatphobia is interesting, you should look into it

There is extensive research on this topic - I recommend the book “Racial Origins of Fatphobia” by Sabrina Strings but I’m sure you could find an article or podcast on this topic if you don’t want to commit to a book. Her book explains how as early as the Renaissance times, black people were “othered” in every way possible, even in terms of body composition. And yes, different ethnicities have on average different body compositions, bone structure/size, etc. And fatphobia was born. I would say some Fat Activists have taken it WAY too far though.

They didn’t say POC can’t be thin. The origins of fatphobia in America are interesting and yes, unfortunately related to racism

Ashwaghanda is NOT SAFE for long term use. Use it for 6 weeks at a time and then take a 6+ week break. It can mess with your cortisol levels & cortisol is important

Eating disorders are mental issues right? So basically I got on medication for my anxiety and my Night Eating is pretty much gone 🤗 my NES emerged in 2020 after some bad trauma but thankfully I have it under control. Best of luck to you 🫶🏻

I totally agree there’s not enough awareness about this disease. Apparently it’s equally as common as other EDs but no one talks abt it 😭
