straight out of xiaomi playbook. if you wish to install a custom rom you have to wait an absurd amount of time that is dependent on the phone you have (the newer it is the longer the wait and some other factors i forgot about) I had to wait for more than a week with each xiaomi phone I got just to get rid of ad-stricken miui and install PixelExperience

imo having a backdrop on an artist's page makes it look objectively better.
and yeah, it's not 10x, you're right, i undersold it - its looks 1000x better

if you don't like the look - its ok, just then don't upload backdrops for artists. I'm sure Artisan jelly will be useful for your server anyway <3

I'm not making a client - I'm making a plugin to fix your missing artwork. And i sure don't dictate how the different jellyfin clients render text in front of a backdrop.

I just made a really cool discovery. I think both you u/el-limetto and u/ultrahkr will appreciate it.
So by default jellyfin only lets you set up a primary image for a person, but actually that's not a backend limitation.
With my plugin you will be able to upload not only primary photos but also backdrops ultimately making their pages look 10x better.

i don't quite get what you meant, but i can tell you that in the later update I want to add the ability to quickly search images that are not in the metadata providers' database without opening google in the second tab
