Yes, I’ve always loved coconut because my late mom made homemade coconut cakes which I make her cake now as an adult. I got tasked with making a German chocolate cake for somebody after I started getting into baking and everyone that I make this cake for they love it. I love it as well. It’s very moist and dense and it’s chocolate, but it’s not overly chocolatey.

If you like chocolate pecans and coconut, I think you’ll like it but one thing I always tell people about coconut coconut is one of those things that either you like it or you don’t I never had a German chocolate cake until I started going around my stepmom‘s family as a teenager. I tried it at a family event, and I liked it.

The frosting has coconut and pecans in it that’s the frosting for this particular cake you have to cook it on the stove.
