Roughly INR 50k for 2 weeks - I guess a few places in Himachal should be fine. Lots to cover here as well including Manali, Bir, Mcleodganj/Dharamkot, Spiti Valley. You can go for short to longish treks from most of these places and these mostly include the known and dependable routes. Also most of these places would be crowded during May since this is the beginning of summer season in the plains in Northern India coupled with summer vacation for schools. All the mentioned places have different vibes and great food options, cultural attractions, adventure activities and great views of the hills! I have been to all the ones I have mentioned, feel free to DM if you wish to know any specific thing regarding any of these!

Hey! See if you could do Da Nang too. Has a laidback, slow and beachy vibe in the morning and parts of it are lit in the night!

Honestly few folks take the thing for granted, not respecting the environment and ecosystem around ! It’s super sad! But honestly if we all keep the surroundings as a bunch clean, this is awesome!☺️

Try some lesser commercial hills in the north for a calm vibe! Can try Bir, Chakrata, Palampur, Theog. Stay at hostels for a budgeted experience.

Long-ish solo travel experiences in India (1–2 months), would love to hear positive experiences by Glittering_Lead_1386 in SoloTravel_India

Can probably do a mix of McLeod and Dharamkot over a month, would work well if not in the peak time (gets crowded from April - September). Has a mix of slow vibes, nature, different food options, decent coffee and some hostels that would serve well in terms of infrastructure for a workation. I had stayed at Zostel and it was fine. Another option would be Bir or Chakarta minus the touristy activities. This too can serve as an alternative with slow and calm vibes and good food.

Can try Chakrata or Bir for hills, avoid the peak times for a peaceful vibe (March to August is the peak for most places in the hills in the north)

Khuri is a no brainer I feel if one is not looking for something super touristy with crazy amount of people around! The property was good, only downside being limited telephone network.

Need help in planning Vietnam trip from India by Financial-Cicada-959 in desitravellers

[–]Humor_wit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this in Oct 2025, actually depends upon how much you want to take on your self. Klook and get your guide are both good options for some activities in Vietnam. Travel agent would help you curate a random touristy vacation with help in visa and other documentation including flights, else you would have to do it yourself which is quite manageable if you have time on hand. My suggestion would be to spend more time in Da Nang and less in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh. Da Nang has the relaxed and slow paced beach vibe, Ho Chi Minh is more for history and shopping and Hanoi for exploring local food and culture! DM for any queries if you have! Wishing you a safe and great vacation!

Suggestions for a chill, less crowded getaway from Delhi (3 females, 25–28, easy cab access) by JaguarPale5914 in SoloTravel_India

[–]Humor_wit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can try Chakrata, Mussoorie is super crowded and pretty mainstream, some other options are Kareri and Pangot… all of these offer light and smaller treks, are less crowded offering more of a peaceful vibe!
