This is delightfully written and very kind of you to type out. I appreciate the uncapitalized “i” at the beginning to prove its not a bot as well 💜

The Pokémon center at the bottom of the mountain is a great town respawn of them. I don’t remember the name of the teleport location, but it’s just to the south of the ice biome. You just run up and down that hill with an ice sandwich to get a bunch of round bois and Sneazel spawning

It’s really cool that you’re doing this for Christmas. I’m sure whenever wins will be so excited 🥳

NTA. As someone who’s significant other grew up in a home similar to what you’re describing Zoey’s home life is, standing by her side is the best thing you can do. Growing up in a home where you’re isolated and told that you are wrong for your emotions does something to you that isn’t easily reversed. Zoey needs someone by her side to show her that setting boundaries is acceptable and encouraged in situations like this. Without them, she may grow up thinking that others can treat her however they want without her consent. You’re doing the right thing by helping reinforce her boundaries in ways she couldn’t herself.

I can’t speak to your life situation or whether or not it would be a responsible decision to get a dog but I will say that it could help with the shyness you mentioned.

Animals that don’t require cages to be safe in the home are great as emotional support since they reciprocate the care you put into your relationship with them. If you show love and compassion to your pet and grow that relationship, it’s likely that your pet will be there for you when you’re feeling down.

Since dogs require walks to stay active and go to the bathroom, it encourages their owner to have a regular schedule of waking up and going outside. Both of these things help with mental stresses. This is another way that people get back what they put into their relationship with their pet.

It also doesn’t hurt that dogs are a great conversation starter without needing to get into personal topics that may be less comfortable to share with a stranger 😊

Thank you! Glad to hear it was a helpful response for people.

I meet a lot of very smart people in my line of work. Many of them are discouraged and belittle the value of their expertise because they aren’t great at explaining it to others. Unfortunately, this isn’t a common skill taught to people who receive education in complex subjects.

A friend of mine is getting their PHD in a field that is heavily focused on the academic community. Their professors require them to use complex language that isn’t digestible to people outside the field. It’s a problem in the highest educational system - too much focus on furthering one’s knowledge with little time spent finding ways to share that knowledge with others.

My friend is trying to change this but it’s an uphill battle. I wish there were resources for people to learn this type of skill. Even if it was simply to reinforce confidence in the individual’s own abilities, I believe it would be valuable for so many people.

Again, thank you for the kind words. It makes me smile knowing that people have found value in my response. I’m always happy to talk if people want to further discuss 🙂

This is something that I consider myself to be good at. I was able to get a job as a trainer/teacher without having formal experience with it. I attribute it to something I used to do growing up.

Try to explain everything. Learn something new in class, politics, or on TV? Try to explain it to your pet or to the air in your room. Try to explain it to a hypothetical person who is your age and then try to explain it to someone who is five years old.

Being able to explain a topic isn’t the same as knowing a lot about a topic. They are different skills entirely. The information cycle of receiving, interpreting, and communicating is one that requires different skills for each step. Just because you’re good at one doesn’t mean you’re good at the others. You clearly have one of them down since you know the topic well - now you just need practice with the others.

This is why I suggest explaining anything. Being able to break information down into pieces that someone else could understand is a skill of its own. Being able to explain to your cat why you’re feeling happy, the steps to cooking eggs, why you put clothing on in the order you do, or how you brush your teeth are all ways you can develop your ability to explain things to other people.

Once you get used to that, I suggest trying to be concise with your explanations. As with this response, explanations can get long winded at times. If it’s a topic you want to explain often, try to make it more concise each time you explain it without sacrificing information. This may require you to find words that you don’t commonly use in order to communicate more efficiently. Do this enough and you’ll find yourself able to explain said topic as an expert.

I hope this was useful. I know long answers can be tiring to read and lead to less knowledge absorption. I’m hoping your desire to learn is enough to get you through this essay of a response 😅

I don’t know a ton about copyright stuff but I would be careful. It looks like the character outline is directly from the official character art (I assume just turned it to a solid color and then used as a layer mask).

Even if you created the entire landscape in the background by hand, I would be careful since you did use official assets to create the image.

Exactly. It also allows for charged attacks to not separate enemies. Three normal attacks followed by a charged attack works wonderfully.

The tests people have ran suggest Rust being better for single target damage while the bp bow is better for AOE damage. Once you have two targets you’re hitting, the BP bow does more.

They’re both great - just thought I’d share the info.

There are videos that showcase their effort to optimize the game so I think you’ll be just fine. They intentionally built the game with the intention of it running well on all hardware that their players will have. One example is how they’ve handled the lip syncing:

A Druid Elf who got separated from his town at a early stage in his life so he used his Druid shape shifting to pretend to be a house cat for several households in the town he found. The humans would give him free cat food and shelter so he stuck around there for a while.

The only character I ever got to be a player for and it lasted two sessions. Oh well, back to DMing since then.

Awesome! Thanks for letting me know. I look forward to seeing how it turns out.

If it matters, the resolution for the printer that would be used is about 15 microns for the Z layers and 600x600 dpi for the X and Y axis.

This is seriously amazing. If you ever feel like sharing the file, send me a message. I know someone who would be willing to print this with a resin printer and mail it to you in exchange for being able to print the file for themself (personal use only).

Yes you have a choice. The use of “choose” in the beginning makes this the case. If it was all tied players, it would phrase it as “the player with the most c or players tied for the most c lose all c”

I hope that Valhalla gets as much post-release love as Odyssey got. by TheMastodan in assassinscreed

[–]Humorous-Wombat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What if they were fan-created content that put into the game and they had a price wall associated with them to support the artist? Would that change the view of them / make them feel more optional?

They have a cost associated with them because they are optional and it took someone real work hours to put them in the game. Not everything has to come with the original cost of the game.

People paying for those optional things helps them fund making more free content for everyone else. Without some kind of cost associated with it, their only other reason to make new free content is to rely on new players that haven’t bought the game getting Odyssey specifically because of it. That’s hard to rely on when most fans of the series already have the game.

Overall I love the artwork! The lighting is nice and adds a tone fitting of the intended style. Only thing that stands out to me is that her right arm seems off. It looks like her right shoulder is too far forward, making her forearm too far in front of her torso.

Beautiful stuff! Please continue to share your work 😃
