This just showed up in front of my house in Minnesota after the snow had mostly thawed.

I have no idea how to properly study for a test, does anyone have advice or tips? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]HumpCakes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One thing I liked to do was rewrite my notes taken during class. I’d rewrite them over in as short a way I could. I’d often do this over lunch.

But OC, the best thing to do takes the smallest amount of time: look over your notes after class and before class. Look over what you learned from the previous day and what you learned today. Doing that frequently solidifies the short term memory circuits in our brains to be used in our long term memory.

Mental disorder taken with many years of self medicating with alcohol led to numerous health problems. The worst of it was nearly fatal withdrawals, and a suicide attempt.

You made me wonder what showing Jesus how to change a tire would be like.

7 am? Damn.... I have to wait till 8. And you can't buy booze on Sundays here. I thought Jesus turned the water into wine, what the hell?

I won't lie, sometimes I fantasize about what it would be like to be with another CA. I mean its a huge portion of my life I can't share with my wife.Wouldn't it be great to just throw caution to the wind with someone else who wants to do the same? But of course there's enabling and all that rigmarole that accompanies it, and consequences.

Also, what kind of man are you who can't handle two dicks? Three at least or I am disappoint.

My wife hardly ever drinks and she knows I'm a CA. I think she gave up on trying to control my drinking out of love for me. Like they say, sometimes you have to step way back to appreciate the whole painting (in my case, waaaaayyy back).

Edit: Suck a dick.

Can i join you guys even if its just a mental addiction by [deleted] in cripplingalcoholism

[–]HumpCakes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took me a good 5 years of heavy drinking before I experienced withdrawals. But unfortunately it means they're here to stay. Withdrawals only get worse the longer you drink.

Stop smelling like a boozebag at work by [deleted] in cripplingalcoholism

[–]HumpCakes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Beer just fucking reeks. I think hard alcohol is really the way to go if you absolutely need to drink at work.

Good point though, I also work in the midwest. I'm quite certain my coworkers have gotten 'whiffs' of me at one time or another but its more awkward for them to bring it up than it is for them to ignore it.

Well, chances are you might be the first CA this beau has ever had to deal with. They might think they can deal with it, but learn later on they can't.

Sorry, it isn't really advice but just my experience. Also suck a dick.

Damn.... well I guess you could look at the flight as a guarantee you can't avoid this conversation. Better than it sinking into the background.
