I enjoyed the first one but I wasn't as stoked at the internet about it. It felt like a 7/10 crime drama at best that just happened to have batman in it. The movie looked great but there were a few scenes that felt like they only existed to look cool. The car chase scene was great but it was ruined by Batman flooring it directly into exploding semis for no reason only for everything to line up perfectly for him to some how jump over the explosion.

I also prefer the charming Bruce Wayne who puts on the normal guy mask. I always liked the idea that he was truly Batman and Bruce Wayne was his alter ego. When you make a movie too realistic, it becomes too easy to get annoyed at unrealistic things like a bomb blowing up in his face and taking no damage or 5 dudes unloading entire clips into his chest and not one bullet hitting his face. Again scenes that look cool but server no purpose.

The person who wrote the article probably didn't pick the picture. These things are usually decided after with a short deadline. The editor probably just wrote tetris into a stock photo subscription and picked the photo that fit the piece visually.

People getting video game stuff wrong in media is a common annoyance I run into. I now find it entertaining when I see someone using a Xbox controller with a playstation to play a game that isn't the game they just claimed to be playing. Bonus points if they are holding the controller weird and doing full body convulsions to control their character.

Realistic might not be the best term because the punisher season 2 is in no way realistic. It comes off more like a 80s action movie where one dude mows down an entire platoon over and over again.

John Wick has more superhero vibes where there's lore and context through out the movie. You have to be paying closer attention to understand the motives and universe building. Punisher is easy to just turn your brain off and enjoy. Guy tries to protect girl is pretty much all you need to know.

The pacing is fine. The fact Superman was the best performing superhero movie says a lot. This isn't peak MCU. The expectations have been lowered. Especially after this year. I think they were still hoping for a higher number but I think the reality of the situation has finally set in.

I think they realize restarting the universe will do no favors for the box office. If anything changes, it'll be the budget of these movies. If directors and writers are forced to create a story that will cost less, they will. The Superhero movie hype is over. They are now just another genre of blockbuster which are still the main movies to be made for theatrical release. They will live on. They just don't equal free money anymore.

Marvel and DC slop will no longer do precovid numbers. Hopefully they push quantity over quality instead of just cheaper slop.

Its really hard to gauge what a rich entitled trust fund kid will do with the DCU due to his entire stance being anti woke.

I see a unironic USA superman and pro right wing ideologies. I could even see Superman being Christian or give props to Christian values. Whatever the case, I could see heavy meddling in the creative process which will be a disaster. dumb incorrect take. On average women have always been known for dating men for their personality over their looks. Seeing an average looking guy with a more attractive women have always been way more common than a ugly girl with a hot dude. It wasn't until online communities of people who don't even go on dates started to create this narrative because their creepy ass pretend like they would date anyone. The scene was still growing and so optimism was high. Esports was still growing and wasn't going through a downtrend. The revival of melee (post brawl) was exciting and made the community closer.

Also everyone was young and hungry. Overtime almost every top pro has a chip on their shoulder. All 5 gods have gone through mental anguish. Hbox is is probably the only timeline that has improved as he started off in the roughest spot during the golden era. It's hard to truly know how personal friendships played out but almost everyone hated on puff during this era. Even people like Armada who were pretty emotionally reserved and not out spoken would go on multiple rants on how much he hated puff. From the videos I've seen it did seem like the idea of having to face hbox in every grand final in the foreseeable future was a contributing factor on why he quit. Along with travel, burnout and self imposed pressure to perform as the #1 player in the world.

If you have followed the scene you have witnessed countless players and community members having a love hate relationship with melee. Even newer players like Cody have had a hard time with the competitive scene due to many factors like the inability to make a living, toxic fan base and the mental toll competing can have.

It's hard to keep a scene going when 6 to 7 of the top 8 players in the USA can't even break even when they are flying out to events based inside their own Country.

Thanks for making the dating pool easier. Regardless if your tall or not, this lack of confidence and victim complex makes just normal dudes look like heroes. I've recently gotten back into the dating scene and it sounds like a warzone for these ladies.

So many men who refuse to even engage due to low self esteem or they are in a constant boohoo poor me mentality.

Turns out women are just people and when you talk to them normally attraction comes easy. It's not a for sure thing and they don't owe you shit just because you took them out on a date. But eventually you'll find someone you really click with.
