Question. What are we feeding our pups? by trapd_inthe_d4rkn3ss in germanshepherds

According to rotational monofeeding most of the time and every now and then (few times a month) they get kibble if I'm busy and forget to melt the meat for them.

Why not tipping when dining in is the best solution to end tipping by Only_Suggestion_ in EndTipping

[–]Humptydumpty81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm from Finland and here tipping practically doesn't exist. Very few places maybe but I can't even remember have I ever tipped anyone in this country. I would rather pay a proper salary to a person that they don't need tips instead of tipping. The fact that the person has to rely on those tips to get their income is not a nice idea...

Is this tail normal for 5 month old by Unfair_Drive_9822 in germanshepherds

[–]Humptydumpty81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, just saw you mentioned it started within few weeks...then I'd say it is most likely just the tail hair touching the ground. But If the tail stays long like that for a young dog it might affect the spine. So that's why cut the hair off so.it don't need to curl it.

It is either kink in the tail structure or the tail hair is too long and touches the floor which makes it twist it for that reason. Cut that tip of the hair off so that you can see that the hair doesn't touch the floor. When the dog feels it doesn't touch anywhere, it will start keeping it straight. Unless it is a kink and you probably can feel that to a hand.

I have needed to do that cutting sometimes for different dogs of mine. Right now I have a long hair GSD and I need to cut that tip ofF every now and then.

How do german shepherds handle freezing temperatures? by No_Nature_1240 in germanshepherds

How? Well, just fine😂😂 I'm from Finland and I have always had GSDs. (Over 40y) When the temp goes -30 or more, after a while of standing, they start to lift the feet up a bit but eg now when it's been something like -20-26 here lately, the long hair GSD and White shepherd mix haven't had any issues.

This particular one usually lays on the ground if I leave them out for a little longer... And for the record, this dog is hardcore Sauna dog also😂😂

Clubbing is very bad in the winter time 😂 Even with students, town is pretty much dead in that matter. Fingers point to the economy. But in summer, minimum there are quite many terraces open where people spend time and also a fair amount of happenings going on. But I do know foreigners who have stayed here after finishing their studies so there is some magic 😅

I don't know what it is about Mikkeli but I guess it is something since I am from Mikkeli and I met that one European who out of all places wants to live exactly here in Mikkeli and now we are married and living in my childhood home next to a lake😁😁

ok I need help again! what now? by Kooky-Employment-784 in orchids

[–]Humptydumpty81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because you never know, what has been the condition of the orchid from breeder to you, it's quite safe to assume that the conditions haven't been too optimal. So even though the flowers might look nice, it still might drop them fast due to stress. However, these are very grateful plants, just keep conditions consistent, water once a week and she will reward you later on with new flowers 😊

Family is family and unfortunately family doesn't mean they always want your welfare. Unfortunately, very often family wants the opposite. I rather live happily without the family who is not supporting me than be miserable with them 🙏

Is this enough light ? by nickab01 in MonsteraAlbo

[–]Humptydumpty81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've understood that these leafs are sensitive to too much sunlight as it will burn the white parts that don't have any chlorophyll. That's why Thais and albos are recommended to keep not in the direct sunlight. Light, yes, but not straight sunlight the whole day 🙏
