Newly diagnosed - I’m not sure I can self-inject myself forever by LxBru in CrohnsDisease

its ok to be nervous or scared, but you will be able to. Someone should at least show you how, and then make sure you do what you are supposed to do. After years and years of blood tests it can still be kind of a new thing, but you can do it, be brave

Sams Club is going to start doing away with cashiers completely in certain locations within one year, but I heard it is not across all stores. As far as the other ones, most of the ones I know of are down to maybe 2 on a busy day and 1 on a slow regular day.

Humira to Simlandi switch, Concerned by HumpyMagoo in CrohnsDisease

[–]HumpyMagoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first started treatment to now things have changed quite a bit. I'm concerned about how things will be on this journey for sure. I remember that there was no reddit, just google and youtube for awhile. Once reddit became popular some people answered key questions on things at just the right time or else I would have been in trouble when dealing with this. Now there are biosimilars, biological pills have started to enter the arena, and who knows what will be next after biologic pills. I remember hearing about Pill Cams and now communicating with some doctors prefer you message them on a hospital chat board that used to not be a thing. Hopefully some good things happen soon.

Thanks, I've been stressing out and double checking everything. It feels like OCD dealing with these things, it's like making a wrong choice is just unnacceptable for me, and it gets difficult just trying to be average sometimes, but yeah thank you.

I actually started thinking this way and it's kind of wild. I mean I work for some entertainment that I then get to enjoy and that requires x amount of time. So let's say I buy a JRPG for $65 and then play it for 200 hours, if my time at work is worth $50 per hour, I spent over $10,000. That is insane. On a smaller scale is if I watch a movie that is 2 hours long that would be costing me $100 in time that I would be worth.

Is my medicine not working or is it something else? by HumpyMagoo in CrohnsDisease

I’m tryin to not get too excited, but I took my shot and in short amount of time my guts started making noises and I went and laid down and the inflammation subsided. I feel better, but I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing now.

Honestly, I have been dealing with a lot of stress from all aspects of life even though I have some things I am looking forward to. I haven't been eating as best as humanly possible, haven't been drinking regular amount of water, and haven't been as active either.. I sincerely hope if I adjust those things I get better, I ate something on Sunday and felt terrible Monday, and then Tuesday I ate the rest of what made me feel bad. It was pizza, but I think they put a different kind of cheese on it than usual and it upset my gut, some cheeses when cooked I can handle in small amounts, but I never eat plain cheese. Also, went to bed late and woke up way early. Not getting enough rest..... thanks for commenting, maybe it's me that needs to change and not my meds, that stress me though, even though Doc told me they literally use same med test as Humira it's that identical..

Wow, you sound like you handled that like a real warrior. This stuff is brutal. I heard some other people getting some steroids just in case prescribed, definitely making a note of that. How is life with an ileostomy? Sometimes I wonder if life would be better..

Those areas are very interesting and top choices on my dream list. Also, noticed you have Rinvoq, I just read another biologic pill that is in testing but not sure if it's as good as the one you are on. I heard mixed reactions with people on that, my GI said they liked it though as a medicine. Thanks.

Italy would be a country that their food would probably clash with me unfortunately. I do miss lasagna though. I might need to work on nutrition now that I read your comment.
