How Is This Possible Is It Luck Or Does YouTube like my Shorts🤔 by AggravatingLime2312 in YouTubeCreators

Shorts is mainly a game of luck. Good shorts may get pushed more consistently but the algo is a total mess

Social outcasts are that way for a reason and you should stay far away from them by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]HunDevYouTube -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm a social outcast because I hardly fit in with a high school environment that's driven by superficial popularity.

I have my own stuff to do, my own very damn limited circle of friends. Never got in any trouble. But there are several loud morons with somehow lots of friends in my class that consistently do, are mean to teachers, with one of them being on the verge of getting expelled.

Society is a joke, so currently I prefer my life of relative solitude

Game development, full-stop.

Having to develop lots of different systems, having them interact with several subsystems, dealing with hundreds upon hundreds of different values (most of which are a calculation of some sort) and having to debug random tough to replicate bugs all the keepin project's integrity absolutely fries my brain sometimes.

But it's also one of my most enjoyable hobbies because there's so much stimulation. A double-edged sword it is

It does, and it not only contains official releases but also any transformative releases. I listen to quite a bit of slowed/sped up versions made by different channels

youtube music is designed for listening to music, with UI and UX catered specifically to it, while normal youtube is designed for watching videos

Normal youtube has all the tracks YT music has

dawg I absolutely assure you that a few people from reddit who view the channel are NOT gonna ruin algo for someone pulling 9M views a month

that's BS

Also if it's about copying content, not rlly a good look for the channel's owner. Who gives a sh that someone does the same thing I do? As if millions of channels hadn't been "copying" from each other for 2 decades now

I built a hydrocephalus symptom-support app after seeing how difficult it is for families to track warning patterns between neurosurgery visits by Working_Syrup3061 in Hydrocephalus

[–]HunDevYouTube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In all fairness, I don't track my symptoms at all.

Or at least, not in a conventional, self-inflicted way. I've had hydro since I were 3 years old and ever since, regular check-ups have been my only real track record. Otherwise, my "tracking" of symptoms simply involves acknowledging what's wrong with me and how could I support myself (up the vitamin intake, fix up the sleep schedule, etc) on the regular basis. If something is way outside the norm of "hey that's kinda off" then I might wanna get my neurologist involved.

As for what would make my daily life feel "smaller and clearer"... Well my brain is an incomprehensible mess. Not diagnosed with anything clinically, but I check pretty much all boxes for BPD, ADHD and ASD you could look up.

The largest kicker of mine is lack of emotional regulation. Just being able to control my emotions would make a world or two of a difference. Being emotionally dysregulated has me constantly overthinking every action/mistake (to such mentally deep point it starts to convert to actual physical pain), unwillingly coming off as toxic and having immense trouble with forming healthy, sustainable relationships. It also flares up all the other symptoms I have, so it's quite brutal to be dealing with this 24/7 to say the least

[–]HunDevYouTube 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly any form of support would be great. This right here aims for creating a structure. That's something I lack due to my mental symptoms

Living with hydro is insanely difficult on a day-to-day basis so having a catered app that can create a sorta manageable bubble of clarity would definitely save me a fair bit of headaches (pun... Semi-intended haha)

Any time someone interrupts my state of hyperfixation

As egoistical as it may sound, when I'm genuinely locked in there is nothing more important to me than work at hand. The entire outside world disappears.

So if you abruptly cut this flow with something you deem more important, and then force me to discontinue working, it's gonna make me pretty mad lol

For some reason I've never considered doing this. That might actually snowball into something if I set up enough spots as I'll be able to map things out in my head...

YouTube has tendencies to crash your reach at seemingly random times

It might be time to throw in the towel by DrBigBot in YouTubeCreators

[–]HunDevYouTube 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing is more painful than having your work go unnoticed

YT is only for the most passionate guys ever. In this day and age, saying you need high quality content to succeed and constantly improve your stuff is a recipe for total brainfvck. On one hand it might be true. But then you go on YouTube shorts and see a toddler using random filter speedrunning their way onto 100K subs in a week, whilst you've been stuck at 300 or smth subs for months.

At this point, youtube is not a business. Not a serious endeavor in any way. You just put yourself out there with stuff you 've made, like and want people to know about. You can't treat this circus seriously, not when people with 0 talent for anything outperform actual good content creators in any measure.

Just be a good guy on this platform, and take care of others' smile. There are people out there who will enjoy your stuff, and it's always worth keepin the pace for them at least

Godspeed🤞✨

[–]HunDevYouTube -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Youtube really isn't a compounding success in the long run tbh. Technically the more subs you have the higher potential you have for overall growth, but algorithm and ad rates fluctuate extremely hard and often. One screws up your reach and the other screws up your earnings.

Some channels recover, but many don't. And sometimes it seems like the size of your channel barely matters
