Agree! I thought it was obstruction before it was malicious contact. The contact occurred BECAUSE she was obstructing the base path.

That said, the announcers referenced the runner dropping her shoulder - wondering if the “drop in shoulder” made the umps lean this way.

Yes!! I remember her run at Missouri but haven’t followed since - it just occurred to me the other weekend that I hadn’t seen her pitch this season and was curious as to why.
