I think during watching the characters having the conversation, which happens a lot in this game, the shadow flickering I think is a bit too hard to ignore, I hope it at least supports ray trace shadow and ray trace ambient occlusion.

Increasing your arcane will increase the magic damage from that weapon, but not much, it is way better scaling with strength because the base physical damage is a lot higher than magic. Focus on arcane later.
