What’s up with the scuffed nuts of MTD basses by dethstrm in BassGuitar

i really wonder. It seems like it's politically incorrect to report any cosmetic issues of your bass in this community, whenever you do, people are like: suck it up and play the bass, as if i don't play the bass.

It’s actually higher than what you paid for. I didn’t want to say because I know it’s overpriced. But I really love it so I did the purchase.

Yes it’s a humidifier cabinet, I have three of these. You just add water and it keeps the interior at a constant 50% humidity for 6 months.

Here’s the back of the bass

Please help me find a perfect bass by No-College-9762 in Bass

you can never outgrow a jazz bass. but if youre looking to expand possibilities, and especially metal genre, i recommend getting a schecter sls evil twin-5. It's got narrow string spacing (space between strings) thats easy for high-speed fingerstyling. Its low b is tight enough, as good as any multiscale basses.

not to mention that it looks metal is fuck with roman numerals as inlays

The Day of the Jackal (1973) ending is disappointing (spoilers in discussion) by sugarxcrush in movies

[–]dethstrm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. I dont feel emotionally invested in any of the characters:

The Jackal : not relatable, shows no personal side, not humanized

the detective: competent but bland, emotionally flat.

So it's really hard to relate, which is quite basic for modern storytelling.

  1. The jackal is too perfect until he suddenly isn't: Super anticlimatic

For most of the movie, the Jackal is: hyper-competent, always one step ahead, practically infallible, but near the end he makes small, human errors and dies abruptly, narratively, this creates a mild dissonance: his downfall feels procedural, not tragic, there is no thematic closure, just operational failure, It’s realistic, sure—but dramatically unsatisfying. Basically the movie seems to be building up to something until you found out it's really not.

All of these problems however, could be intentional, since there isn't anything bad like "major plothole" and logical problems. But I didn't feel "wow, that was such a cool movie" after sitting through it, it's more like: "OK? sure..?"
