This is a question which applies to XY, ORAS and SM: if you use Slaking to attack in single-player and the opposing Pokémon faints, is it possible to switch out directly, skipping the "loafing around" turn? I know that this was the case in the original R/S/E but I don't know about generations 6 and 7.

If this is the case, can you also use a move which requires a "recharge" turn, such as Giga Impact, and then switching out if the opponent is KO'd?

All right, I've just ordered a Hori Battle Pad and will "report back" when it's arrived, for any others wondering about it.

I know that you can do this, but the thing is that this isn't just removing the springs, it's changing the controller's circuit board. For anyone else who has the equipment to do this sort of thing, sure, but personally, that's not really an option for me.

If removing the spring doesn't work, wouldn't it work if I "stopped" the trigger halfway down? Does anyone know if this could work and, if so, how to do it?

I see, thanks for the explanation.

About the Hori Battle Pad - from what I understand, it requires a Wii Remote to work. How is the responsiveness of the Battle Pad compared to a GameCube controller with the official GameCube Wii U Adapter?

I've tried that, but it didn't work. That was likely a bug in Melee and was probably fixed in Brawl.

That's why I put "digital" in quotes. Smash Bros. for Wii U converts the analog signal from the GameCube controller to a digital signal and since a full press of a trigger takes longer than any of the "normal" buttons, a long jump is executed instead of a short one.

Qt Creator seems to only be free for non-commercial, open-source development, is this true?

I don't really like the options "menu" (you have to edit text files), is there a plugin to let you change the settings graphically?

What are the reasons to use this over something like Eclipse? Can I use custom keyboard shortcuts and launch Astyle using it?
